I really hope to see Auron and Seymour in this game, just because Auron is awesome and Seymour would make it interesting with his theme. xD

Hopefully this game will be like other Final Fantasy games, with side quests and summons and varying forms of combat. We also can't forget moogles, cid, and chocobos.

Ah, cool info Shamdeo, it looks like the versus mode will only be playable. I wonder if all the characters will be selectable. They'd probably keep some hidden until the release.

I'd faint if both Cloud AND Auron was in this game. That would kick ass...

So basically, it's like a Smash Bros for the Square Enix universe eh?

Nah, it's way more 1v1 and cinematic than SSB, they're not really comparable

Does anyone what the storyline is going to be? like is Sephiroth going to meet/fight the other non FF7 characters? ( i just want to see a way to go Sephiroth vs Kuja scene )

or is this game going to be split up in 2 or 3 storyies or something? i mean is it even cannon to each video game series?

I guess it's like Smash Bros in a sense, but like TMM said, it probably plays more like Kingdom Hearts.

This will most certainly release in the US.

o_0 Squall art and fmv... *dies* I want to play this game now.

These updates are fantastic, btw. And I'm guessing that Japan has no official release date yet, or will that change?

Oldest to youngest (from when they starred in Final Fantasy games):

Cloud, 21.

Cecil, 20.
Bartz, 20.

Terra, 18. ( Locke is 25, if you consider him the hero. )

Ramza, 17. ( Grows older during the game. )
Vaan, 17.
Tidus, 17.
Squall, 17.

Zidane, 16.

So yah, Squall isn't exactly old.

Well, I think what DJ GloriX meant was that he looks younger than his seventeen year old self. Comparing this new artwork to the official artwork of Squall in FFVIII, he does look a bit younger in appearance - in face, height and structure. At least, that's what I see as well. :/
