I loved those games. . .I'm kinda old school. . .oh yeah there's a few sonic games for the sega that were co-op. . .
. . .HOW COULD I FORGET KIRBY?!?!?!?
Kirby Superstars for the SNES was co-op, the first player would be kirby and he could suck in enemies to get their power, then he could release it to make the second player, who looked like that enemy.
Really fun game..
and yes I do own a SNES, NES, Atari 2600(and a few more), sega, sega dreamcast, sega CD, n64 and some newer stuff. . .

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and 3 bosses are a breeze when you have a good buddy playing as Tails. Since Tails is (in practice) invincible you can't really go wrong. Just have him molest Robotnik's latest contraption while you take cover.
