^ Not to freak you out Sophie, but I think I have you on msn xD ^
Whoa that's a big list of jap singers o.o
BoA (who also does Chinese in addition to Jap and Korean I believe)
Yes but not that much. It's more like they released some of her Korean songs in Chinese, in I believe Taiwan. She's like fluent in 4 languages (Kor, Jap, Eng, Chinese) but then again she does say one line in French and Italian in the song "Lady Galaxy" =P
As for Korean suggestions:
You have like the big 2.. BoA and DBSK already.
Shinhwa is another korean boy band like DBSK, but they're like older and might have broken up. Like all the members have solo projects like
Lee Minwoo.
Other Boy bands that I know include:
SuperJunior (13 members!!!!),
Battle (group made by Shinhwa),
f.t. island, and
Xing
CSJH (aka the Grace) is a 4 member female group. Think of it like a female version of DBSK. They've changed their style to something more softer and graceful then there old hip-hoppish style.
Other Female groups include:
S.E.S (broke up),
Baby V.O.X (and
Baby vox re.v),
KARA (new group - they have like a 15 year old or something like that),
Wonder Girls (new group),
So Nyuh Shi Gae (going to debut soon)
Se7en is a fairly popular korean artist, but like BoA he's not really concentrating in korea right now. He's planning like an English debut and everything. I personally like his music quite a bit. Sort of like a male version of BoA but little more hip-hoppish, R&B I guess.
Other like male vocalists:
Bi/Rain,
Kangta,
Minwoo
Jang Ri In (aka Zhang Li Yin) is a 18 year old Chinese singer who was sort of nicknamed "Chinese BoA". She sings in Korean but there are only a few songs by her, and most of them are cover songs, but she has a really strong voice (and her live voice is constantly getting better). She's more like R&B I guess.
Other female singers:
Hyori lee (I don't listen to her),
Rap wise I only know like
Big Bang and
1TYM
YOu can listen to some of their songs probably on youtube.
Hope that helps.
