Do you think 358/2 and BBS are just side stories that will help us to understand better the main KH storyline, or are they meant to serve as the foundation of KH3? I hope it's the latter.

They all connect to KH3 somehow. Nomura said BBS was a prelude to KH3, and Coded leads up to KH3.

Well, In an Interview with Nomoura, it is said that Coded was a Pre KH3 game of sorts.
And Birth By Sleep lets us better understand the past, and probably How, or what the Objective of KH3 is.

If they do make a KH 3 I hope they make it a little darker then the previous. I started playing KH when I was pretty young, and I think they should mature the games to the now older KH fans. I still love the original KH games, but now I really notice how stupid some of the dialog was.
actually thats why nomura is making them aside from explaining their stories but nomura said that all 3 games would connect with each other in some way and better explain kh 3 or the next kh main title

They all are. Each one ties into the KH timeline to forward our understanding of the overall story.
They are side stories. But will help us understand kh3 more.

I don't think BBS is meant to help us understand the story thus far as much as Days is. If there was no KH3, we'd be better off without it.
And KH1 did have a dark backstory, but you had to read the Ansem Reports, and most younger players wouldn't bother with that

umm...then why make a secret ending to BBS? it's pointless, it would've been a kh3 in that secret ending.

i don't think days has any importance to kh3. 358/2 days and coded were planned after kh2 final mix. so it was kinda last minute. 358/2 days defintely served as a filler. so there's no point saying it has to do with kh3. and all the organziation XIII members are gone. so how is it possible?
Yea, BBS is going to be more mature Nomura said 358/2 was more for disney and BBS is more Final Fantasy and Square-Enix based.
Wouldn't really be surprised if it was Teen but it probably will be E-10+
But why not? its one more KH game to play..."pointless" then your not a true KH fan, i for one well in my opinion think BBS looks the best out of all the past KH games.
Yea, agreed you dont have to play Days if you dont want to it's kind of an optional part of the story, just a simple side story to fill in the main plot and for Square to make a few bucks.
