Seems crowded imo. The brightness is also too bright, and the effects over her face are distracting.

I actually enjoy the effects, but I feel like the sides (especially the left) should be cleaner, without the smudging.

If he didn't have smudging, he wouldn't have much of a bg.
The red, orange and yellow (on the left) don't fit well. Same with the yellow on the right, they poke out and look unnatural.

Same with what Ken said about the effects overlapping the face (right)

What Citrus said about the colors on the left actually stands out to me after he said that. Face effects are annoying too. I like this though as a whole, looks like something outta FF13.

this would look at lot more dynamic without that gradient layer on lighten or whatever you have set to lighten. contrast could be bumped a little too along with some dodge/burn work.

But I agree with some of the things said in this thread. It is cluttered. And it looks pretty bright, kinda washed out. The smudging in the background is good tho.
