Parents have never been an important subject in the KINGDOM HEARTS universe. Sure, we heard Sora's "mom" calling him out for dinner the night of the Heartless attack at Destiny Islands back in the first KH, but, afterwards, that was it. The other time a parent was touched in a KH related thing was the manga where I think Riku was the mayor's son.1. The parents of SRK-Since we might see Destiny Islands in KH3, I think it's about time we meet the Island trio's parents.
And as long as the pacing isn't too slow, or too fast, and worlds that need to be visited more than once don't get repetitive, it's ok.2. At least fifteen worlds-Given that this is the final game in the saga, I think we should have about fifteen worlds. As long as we only do one visit for most of the worlds(except for worlds such as Radient Garden) time restraints shouldn't be an issue
Seeing as how she has a Keyblade nowadays and is getting lectures from Master Yen Sid and training alongside Lea, I presume she'll have a more proactive role. Other than that, she bears a striking resemblance to one of the Five Foretellers, so that should be argument enough to expect more from Kairi.3. Kairi to actually play a major role-Its been seven games and Kairi still hasn't done much of anything. For KH3, I hope we actually get to see Kairi fight and play a more proactive role
My thoughts exactly. If Flowmotion makes a return, worlds need to be as big as the ones in KH3D, but filled with NPCs.4. Actual NPCs-as others have pointed out, the lack of NPCs has been a major problem about worlds. For KH3, I want the worlds to have a decent number of NPCs so they don't feel so diddlying lifeless :/
That's something that would be awkward to see in this point of time of the saga, really. It would seem "pushed", seeing as how such a relationship between Sora and Kairi has been appreciated. We got a glimpse of a possible SoKairi back in the ending of the first KH, but afterwards, all we got was Sora hugging Kairi like a friend, and kneeling before Riku like a brother. The bromance between Sora and Riku has gotten more exposure than a possible romantic relationship between Sora and Kairi.I really want to see Sora and Kairi in a relationship...
Personally, KHI was all about Sora searching for Riku and Kairi, and Donald and Goofy looking for Mickey.KHI was all about sora and Kairi...
Banded-up arm? When did this happen? And to find out why Riku has his arm banded up.... (If the games have told already don't spoil it i'm replaying them!)
^This is a nice idea and I concur about the many Keyblades with little use during the endgame. Of course, the Keychain that increases the odds of enemies dropping rare items is useful for synthesize, but that's all.New game+. I mean seriously give me a reason to collect those keyblades Nomura. TnT They do me no good at the end of the game.
I hope I'm wrong in assuming this, but KINGDOM HEARTS III doesn't look like the game that might feature such a feat in terms of an online experience. I can't even picture KHIII featuring an online scenario like BbS's.I still really want a good multiplayer experience. I wanna see how my playstyle and item loadout stack up against other people's. Or maybe the option to play through harder versions of past missions in a co-op mode.
They've incorporated all these great multiplayer features in the past (mainly BbS and 358/2 Days) that were hindered largely by the number of people who didn't have someone in person to play with and the lack of internet capability on handhelds. The PS4 is the perfect chance to get it right.
He appears to be wearing an arm brace on his left arm in II. I don't think he ever used that arm in II either, but I could be wrong on that.Banded-up arm? When did this happen?
Spoiler ShowMultiple playable characters. Sora is fun to play as, but for my money, we need at least Riku and Kairi to be playable as well. Come to think of it, being able to play as your other party members would be good as well. At the very least, it would allow us to customize and play as Donald in a way that makes him more useful instead of a joke.
More Final Fantasy characters. I missed these guys a lot in recent titles and I want them to integrate the characters into the plot better than they have in the past (the latter portion applies to Disney as well). On that note, I also want more from titles other than VII. Bring people like Rinoa, Laguna, Jecht, and others. In fact, Dissidia Final Fantasy and Dissidia Duodecium basically gave us character models for many of these characters, so please bring them in as well.
Kairi's past to be expanded on. I'm interested to see small snapshots of how her life was before she met up with Aqua and Mickey and ended up on Destiny Islands. Did she have family other than her grandmother? Has she interacted with any of the characters over there as a child (i.e.: Merlin, Scrooge, Ienzo, Lea, Cloud, Squall, etc.)? For some reason, I can imagine her eating Scrooge's Sea Salt Ice Cream with Cloud talking about how he's going to make it into SOLDIER and Ienzo just nodding and offering her ice cream.
The return of certain worlds. Twilight Town is a given going by the trailers. Others include Traverse Town (in case other characters lose their homeworlds and wind up there), The World That Never Was and Radiant Garden (for obvious reasons), Port Royal (to finish the plots of the second and third movies), Agrabah (for King of Thieves), and a few others that I can't immediately think of at the moment.
Olympus Colosseum is a special case. I want this world to return and have more of an impact on the plot. I also want some tournaments to return as well;and for Christ's sakes, please make sure that they are simple tournaments this time instead of having specific requirements to get to the other tournaments (*cough*Underdrome*cough*). I also feel that this world is needed solely on account of the fact that there is always a Final Fantasy cameo thrown in somewhere in the games. Bring them all back along with a few new ones (Jecht, perhaps) and I'll be happy.
GILGAMESH!!!
An ironclad excuse to listen to listen to "Jenova Absolute." I'm listening to it right now as I speak; if Nomura can throw Jenova Synthesis in there without it being a Giant Space Flea from Nowhere (looking at you, Zeromus), then that would be awesome.
An incredible soundtrack. Granted, this is all but guaranteed with Yoko Shimomura composing, but I'd like to have some more rockin' tunes as well. Tracks like "Otherworld" or the Black Mages cover of "Battle 1" from Final Fantasy VI would be nice. Also, if Sephiroth's backstory is explored any, then I'd like to hear the two tracks that play when Zack fights him at Niblhiem as well. Some Disney pieces would be nice, too (I cannot even begin to describe how disappointed I was when I heard that "Out There" and "Hellfire" were not put in Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance).
On the topic of Sephiroth, bonus boss battle against him. He's been a boss fight in every numbered title, it's tradition.
Bonus boss fight with Gilgamesh.
New worlds to explore. Bring in plenty from nearly all sides of the cross-over. Worlds for The Black Cauldron, Tangled, Frozen, Robin Hood, Toy Story, and The Incredibles would be nice. Square Enix worlds could be brought in as well such as the ones from Final Fantasy IV and Final Fantasy VI. Also, GIVE US SHIBUYA, NOMURA SAN!
I kind of want a Wreck-it-Ralph world, yet at the same time I don't think it is too viable. If it were a world within a world at, say, Radiant Garden, then it might possibly work. If Disney and Square Enix can get the rights to certain characters like in the movie, I can see them having episodic adventures tying into the movie's plot. Perhaps some DLC can include playable sections with certain characters as well. I defy anyone to say it wouldn't be epic to go up against Sonic with "Fight the Knight" or "Live and Learn" playing in the background.
Malificent to be a credible threat again. I seriously doubt this needs any explanation.
Mickey's past to be expanded upon. Perhaps have flashbacks to him talking to figures like the Emperor of China, King Triton, the King of Baron, etc. Maybe he has a connection to others (i.e.: Laguna, Triton, Sephiroth) and even have impact on certain events such as fighting Triton, helping Laguna, trying to help Zack fend off Sephiroth's madness...
GILGAMESH!!!
Have Terra, Aqua, Ven and Roxas playable in some form again.
Bring back dual wielding, especially if you're bringing back Roxas.
Return of Drive Forms, but make them easier to level up.
Blend the best of the classic battle menu with the best of the command deck.
An epic battle between the 13 Darknesses and 7 Lights.
Aqua to be found in the Realm of Darkness fighting Feral Chaos with "Cantata Mortis & God in Fire" playing as the BGM.
Terra to face off against Master Xehanort with an epic orchestral remix of both of their themes.
VANITAS!!! WE NEED HIM BACK!!!.
Party members to be more useful and go with Sora outside of their respective worlds in addition to having them in their respective worlds.
While this is extremely unlikely, I'd like to see them make a deal with Nintendo to have the Kid Icarus: Uprising characters in the Olympus Colosseum world. Imagine TWO hammy versions of Hades bantering back and forth.
GILGAMESH!!!
A satisfying ending to the Xehanort Saga. If Nomura wants to add a secret movie showing a sneek preview of the next saga, that's not too bad as long as it has next to nothing to do anyone from the current saga.
Post-game content would be a plus. Someone already said that they should have a digital ultimania in there, so they need to work on that.
That's all I have for now (man, this is the longest post I put on this forum yet). More might come to mind, but for now, this list is good.
One last thing: have I mentioned GILGAMESH!!! yet?
Spoiler ShowParasite Eve. While I barely played the first game and have a somewhat condensed knowledge of what happens in the series (and by that, I mean I read their pages on T.V. Tropes), I have always wanted Aya Brea and Eve to somehow make an appearance in the game. My only problem was trying to find the perfect venue for them. Do I want them in Birth by Sleep: Volume II in the Realm of Darkness or do I want them to appear in the Realm of Light in Kingdom Hearts III? Either way, I can see elements of that series being placed into the game. The music, at least for the first game, was composed by Yoko Shimomura, so that alone means the musical atmosphere will fit perfectly here.
Illusion of Gaia. Or Illusion of Time for those of you over in Europe. This game was an important factor in my life and is often considered by many that know of its existence as a lost gem of the Super Nintendo that was buried underneath the rubble of other games such as Sonic 3 & Knuckles (I know they were released as separate games, but they are meant to be played together, so yeah) and Final Fantasy VI. The main protagonist, Will, would make an awesome party member. By entering certain spaces in the game, he has the power to become either Freedan or Shadow. Will himself is often seen as a Dark Knight with his friend/love interest/Damsel in Distress Kara is the Light Knight in a world that was originally Planet Earth in the 1990's but was warped into something that sort of resembles it during the Age of Exploration. Also, the music is downright GRAND in this game. Bring this title in; we need an Enix property for a change. Of course, with mention of Enix, there must be...
Dragon Quest. I don't think I really need to elaborate much on this; just see what I mentioned with the Final Fantasy and other Square properties and apply it here.
Speaking of Final Fantasy, I think that any sort of representation from Final Fantasy XV must be put in the game. Both are helmed by Nomura and share many similarities from battle system to character designs. I can see Noctis and Stella being part of a subplot in the game in some form. Obviously, there aren't many details about XV yet, but they have to at least have some characters make cameos here and there.
As mentioned in another thread, a Gold Saucer area.
Spoiler ShowNo more complete rehashes of Disney worlds; by this, I mean don't have the complete story of the Disney world copies verbatim from its original source; it needs to be intertwined with the main plot of the game.
No more characters being strewn to the side solely so that Sora, Donald, and Goofy have the limelight the entire time. This particular point involves all the side characters from both Disney and Square Enix. I'm sick of both groups having little to no significance to the plot, especially the Final Fantasy characters as of late (I say this since the ones from The World Ends With You were actually integrated into 3D's plot fairly well). I know that both groups, particularly the latter, are meant to be just cameos, but I still wish that they were integrated into the plot better.
Continuing into that particular line of thought, no more relegating the original characters that aren't keyblade wielders or current/former members of Organization off to the side. I feel like Namine and Ansem the Wise are the only ones thus far that have even come close to being relevant in any of the games' plots as of late. At the very least, we need our Twilight Town gang back.
No over-reliance of Reaction Commands. These are meant to enrich the gaming experience, not cheapen it.
No more being afraid of using music from Disney and Final Fantasy media. This much of a complaint mind you since Yoko Shimomura's music is just that awesome and I do understand that there are licensing issues. If this one isn't followed, I won't be too bummed out since I love her music.
No more putting off Laguna being in the game. I don't want to be robbed of my chance to see him performing his "GREATEST ATTACK EVAR!" after all.
Finally (at least for now), if the magic meter is going to be back, then don't make it like in Kingdom Hearts II where it has to recharge before magic and limits can be used again. That sort of fake difficulty was one of the bigger annoyances of Kingdom Hearts II.
III. Finally and most important, however, I hope Square Enix provides fan service and realizes that the fanbase that will predominantly be playing Kingdom Hearts III are the ones who have been with the series from the start. I imagine most people were around 10 or 11, like myself, when the original KH came out and will likely be playing KH3 as adults either in our early or even mid-to-late 20s. With that said, I would like to see them push (to the extent Disney will allow, of course) for this to be a mature conclusion to the saga. No, of course, I'm not expecting anything over the top like language, immense violence, heavy romance, or anything, but just have the writing geared towards the likely majority demographic of the game. I do recall a few years ago seeing an article of a Nomura interview where he said the game will, indeed, grow with its fans. Hopefully, that still ends up being the case.
Not to harp on this side discussion on Riku's arm, but I'm 98% sure it's just a decorative sleeve. KH characters can have a pretty eclectic sense of style sometimes...He appears to be wearing an arm brace on his left arm in II. I don't think he ever used that arm in II either, but I could be wrong on that.
i just want many worlds in KH3 aww and i want SRK to meet TAV and sora meets vanitas
