Was he really Ansem? No. He was Xehanort or possibly even Terra.
So it doesn't HAVE to be.

Wow it's odd how Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days was made to focus on Roxas' time in the organization but, it seems as if Xion is the most important character in this game and Roxas is just another main character instead of 'the main character" or protagonist.

Xion is what got Roxas to leave the Organization and is related to his and Sora's Memories. Think of her as the Kairi for Days that keeps the plot going.
Let's hope she'll be a better character as far as anything else is concerned

Actually, with the new trailer impressions, I think the chances for that to happen go way way up.

First, because nobodies didn't exist in Birth by Sleep and Aqua has dissapeared since so aqua has no current relation to the characters now.

And you know that how? By 'disappeared' it can mean anything, and I do mean all but anything. As such, however, we do not know she died right now, so we don't know of anything stopping her from being alive until becoming a Heartless was possible.

Also other than the face and the keyblade weilding they have nothing else in common and, even they're faces are debatable because Nomura does seem to reuse some of his character designs.

You also forgot her using magic. And being next to Roxas, with Xemnas seemingly taking interest in her.
Reusing designs? Sure, look at Cloud and Roxas. They're not that alike though, imo.

In my opinion that is much more plausible to me than Aqua only dieing wich doesn't seem climactic enought to me compared to the rest of the plot twists Kingdom Hearts has given us.

Heck, Namine controlling over Sora's Memories while Xion seems to be abused by them all but further bases a connection between the two and the circumstances of Namine's birth.
