WB Discovery is priming itself for a sale piece by piece eventually so technically it’s going to be small enough to buy parts of it lol (even if WB-D says that isn’t the plan. It’s absolutely clearly the plan)If Disney really wanted to rule the world, they would have bought out one of the big names in video games by now. Also Warner Brothers is far too big to buy all at once. If they wanted to go down that road, they’d settle for some nostalgic ip that already seems like a Disney movie. *cough* Wizard of Oz *cough*
There’s no way they’d sell stuff like Looney Tunes or Cartoon Network thoWB Discovery is priming itself for a sale piece by piece eventually so technically it’s going to be small enough to buy parts of it lol (even if WB-D says that isn’t the plan. It’s absolutely clearly the plan)
I wouldn’t want Disney to buy any fragments of it, though.
The people currently in charge of WB-D don’t care about brand recognition. They are the type of investors that pump and dump. They go in and weaken the brand, offload debt into the company, then sell it piecemeal to the highest bidders to make profit. There’s no way they’d sell stuff like Looney Tunes or Cartoon Network tho
Yeah, we may not want a monopoly, but things are so bad for WB right now that Disney buying it off of Discovery would be an upgrade by comparison. Sort of like Microsoft buying Activision-Blizzard-King, whatever it takes to get Bobby Kotick out of the top seat I say go for it.The people currently in charge of WB-D don’t care about brand recognition. Zaslav certainly isn’t in it for the brand. It’s why tons of shows were pulled from HBO Max with no destination, why shows that were in production under the company have been sold off to Netflix and other companies for completion and distribution. Why completed films are being used as tax write-offs.
