What was your game store conversation like?

For those of us that called their game store today to see if the game is out, post your conversation here! (Thread idea from Heartless_Game from the Gamefaqs forums)

Mine:

Him: Thank you for calling EB Games, where you can pick up a copy of... (*PANICED AND EXCITED*) Elder Scroll IV: Oblivion (damn..), this is (whoever) how can I help you?

Me: Hey, I was just wondering if you were selling Kingdom Hearts 2 for preorders yet.

Him: No, we haven't gotten them in yet, so we expect to sell tomorrow.

Me: *silent* oh...

Him: Cool?

Me: Uh, ya, ok thanks..

Him: *begins to say something*

Me: *click*

The thing is that I called them yesterday and the guy said that they'll definately be selling tomorrow (today). I was completely devistated when I heard the "no", then became really pissed. The same thing happened to my friend at a different store... man today sucks.

Me: Hi are you selling Kingdom Hearts II yet?
Worker Guy: No I'm sorry. We'lkl start selling them tommorrow.
Me: Okay, around what time do you tihnk?
Worker Guy: We'll start right when the store opens at 10 o'clock.
Me: Okey-dokey thankies.

1.I wasn't too dissappointed, as I figured that was the case anyway, plus I have karate tonight, so I wouldn't have been able to play at all anyway.
2. Yes I did actually say "okey-dokey thankies" to the guy lol
3.I can't wait for tommorrow!

Daina: Uh oh..Well the pick up date for the game is on the 29th. So just bring your receipt and you'll be fine.

Me: Oh okay thanks.

Daina: No problem. It just seem that this game is getting a tad too popular nowdays. *laughs*

Me: Its even worse when you have to wait for four years and you'll go a tad crazy.

Daina: *laughs* Is there anything else?

Me: Nope that's all. Thank you.

True, but the guy should have said yesterday that either he wasn't sure or just to call later or something. Not give me false hope.. *cries* Whatever though, it's just another 24 hours, compared to the 3 years I've been waiting!!

It all depends on the store and how many reserves they have. Sometimes the store only gets the number of games that they have pre-orders. So the bigger stores (like EB Games and GameStop) will most likely be sold out. Just call around..

yeah i didn't ask about kh2 because i already preordered it like a month ago so they will have my copy (tho i laughed because i spelled out my last name when they made a receipt for my preorder, they spelled it mikch instead of miksch....)

full day of school tomorrow is gonna suck, just had exams yesterday/today so i know i will be taking notes in like every class.....
