~The Twelve Ballads of Liandra, Ties That Bind Us~ Book 1.

Music, the most beautiful of all mortal creations; it can bring warmth and tenderness, as well as heart wrenching sorrow; it can ease your soul and touch you in a place deep inside where your true self rests. Powerful, spell binding, and entrancing; music has inspired men to war, where pride and anger burn scorch the earth and turn brother against brother, father against son. But music has also taught people to understand, and to extend the hands of peace. For every soul there is a song which can express their innermost thoughts and feelings. Life itself is reflected in the harmonizing flow of music.

This is an excerpt from a speech given on the last night of the first Ballad Light Festival nearly thirty centuries ago. The author of these words has long since been forgotten, but why she wrote them has not. Three millennia ago words such as peace, honor, contentment, and happiness had long since been forgotten in favor of never ending war. The world of Liandra had lived in a state of constant bloodshed for the last nine centuries, sides changed with the seasons, and no one race or kingdom ever held an advantage for long. After nearly a millennia of war the reasons why the war had started were lost to time; it seemed conflict had taken a will of its own; a will that imposed itself on the very hearts of generations of men, women, and children. Finally when the planet was so drenched in blood its rivers would literally run red a fragile peace was born. But peace had come far too late. Liandra, Goddess of Life and spirit of the world could no longer survive after such long and terrible spiritual and physical torment.

Too late the peoples of Liandra joined together in an effort to preserve their beloved world. There efforts proved to be for naught and Liandra slipped deeper into the abyss. With no hope left a decision was made that all races be they human, elven, faye, dwarf, dragon, beast-like, or monstrous would meet together in celebration.

For eleven days all living beings on Liandra came together in equality and celebrated. They celebrated their differences and their similarities. After 900 years of war they had finally learned to accept each other and to live in peace. For those eleven days Liandra became a fleeting paradise where the evils of the past were forgotten, and life was finally lived the way it was always meant to be. On the eleventh night of celebration on the twelfth hour of midnight a final tribute to Liandra was given. Twelve songstresses stepped forward, each holding a ballad in hand; eleven ballads for the eleven continents of Lianda and one for Liandra itself. In turn the ballads were performed until only twelfth and final ballad to Liandra was left. The twelve songstresses came together and sang as one. That final ballad touched the souls of all who heard it, including Liandra herself. In that final hour she visited her people in the form of a beautiful woman. She told them that they had earned forgiveness and Liandra would spare them. But she also reminded them to never again forget what greatness they were capable of. And so the Twelve Ballad’s of Liandra passed into legend, and every ten years the Ballad Light Festival is held.

Now thirty centuries later war begins to break out across three of Liandra’s continents. What drives this war is unknown, but if it is allowed to spread it will mean the death of us all. Hope lies in a small band of strangers united by a quest for greatness.

I’m giving pre-made outlines for templates. I know some of you won’t appreciate this, but I’m looking for more diversity in characters, which is something several rps have lacked as of late. These are basically just outlines for the character. It’s first come first serve, and once someone has taken an outline it’s gone. I do not want anyone to just copy and paste the outline. I expect you to add a more detailed bio, a personality, and select an appearance. More than one paragraph for a bio by the way. I won’t take short simple bios. Ok now that that is out of the way, time for outlines.

The would be Paladin- Age 17 (He is capable of some low level magic, but finds the casting process extremely tiring.)
A young boy from the plains of Rolanda, he spent ten year of his life attending a renowned knight’s training academy. On his seventeenth birthday he was promoted from the rank of page to Knight of the People, the first steps towards becoming a Paladin of Liandra. Shortly after his promotion had discovered that several of his fellow young knights had been using their new status to take free goods from the local village. He turned them in immediately and he was subsequently expelled from the academy. He searches for the twelve ballads in hopes of becoming a true hero.
-Taken by Morpheaus

The disgraced Knight of the Shield- Age 27 (She is capable of magic and is at an intermediate to advanced level of spell casting.)
Perhaps the most skilled of the knights at the academy, she is considered very young for her rank and is responsible for training the squires of the academy. When her former page was expelled she left the academy with him. Though she plays the part of teacher, she is aware of her young student’s unspoken affections towards her. When she is not keeping her young companion out of trouble, she is usually training herself. Taken by Kingdomwolfblade

The Drunken Sorcerer- Age 35
A former performer from the world renowned roaming carnival’s of Thesala, he became something of a joke when his addiction to mead caused him to set his own tent ablaze and permanently turn his hair white. He spends the years roaming from town to town performing at local inns and taverns for free booze. Why he searches for the scroll is unknown, but it probably has something to do with women or alcohol.
Taken by LDJ

The Cocky Assassin- Age 23
A young girl born in the back alleys of New Berona, the fourth largest city on Liandra, she spent her life picking pockets and stealing valuables from local merchants. On the fourteenth birthday she fell in with a pack of thieves. They taught her several valuable skills. She recently gained a reputation as a deadly if not altogether humble assassin. How she became an assassin and what happened to her in the last eight years are both secrets she guards very closely.
Taken Darkness Princess

The Shape Eyed Elve- Age 3452
Born in the waning centuries of the Great War, he is still considered an adolescent among the elven races. Yet he did indeed participate in the battles of days long past and remembers the years of endless bloodshed which forged him into a very cynical person. His life is spent training humans and other races for survival in the wilderness.
Taken Rikimaru

The Retired Gladiator- Age 56
A legendary warrior from the coliseums of Eb-Car, he retired at top of his game and to this day is still feared throughout the land as a deadly warrior. In the years since retirement he has opened a small book shop in the port city of Aquila.
Taken by Lionheart06

The Lustful Ice Mistress- Age Unknown
Though her origins are unknown the ice mistress has gained a reputation for her rich life style. She spends much of her time living the high life among the elite nobles of whichever city she happens to be in. When she leaves a place it is usually because she has grown somewhat bored with the local men.

The Old Bastard- Age 79
A genius inventor known for his rather rude behavior, his greatest accomplishment in life is the golem which he created to be his servant. Eventually the golem became his best and only friend, and the two are now inseparable. They travel the eleven continents selling their services and a few useful inventions.

The Golem- 64
A humble and gentle spirit with near limitless strength and a penchant for cooking, he roams the land with his best friend and creator, a doddering old inventor. Though he is a very peaceful being he is quick to defend the innocent.

DP, if you don't mind I'd like you to add more to your bio. It's a bit sketchy, and I realize I didn't put appearance in the template, that's my mistake not yours, but you'll need an appearance. Try to include your reason for searching out the Twelve Ballads in your bio. Same for everyone else.

Name: Drake Taylor
Age: 35
Gender: Male

Appearence: Drake stands at about 5 foot 10 inches tall. His white scruffy hair covers most of his facial features but his dark peircing eyes can clearly be seen when you look at him. He usually wears long dark robes when walking about, some of which are ripped in places, mostly because he never changes when dragging his body from bar to bar.

Personality: Drake, being the drunk that he is can be very insensitive at times. He doesn't usually like to get dragged into conversations, feeling that he knows best all of the time, though if it involves having another drink then he could tolerate it for a little bit longer.

Bio: Drake was born and brought up with the world famous roaming carnival’s of Thesala. His parent's were both sorcerers and were extremly popular with the crowds, they were the shows main attraction and they constantly let Drake join in with the show, seeing as they wanted him to be just like them.

As he grew up Drake became well known for his skill and patientce with the arts, many believing that he would become even greater then his parents, however none could have predicted the curse that was going to land on not just him, but his parent's and the entire carnival for that fact.

One night during a big show when Drake was eighteen the carnival was attacked by bandits. They stormed the carnival, slaughtering many innocents simply for their money and possesions, which barely even carried. The carnivals artists all defended themselves and the onlookers with their lives, leaving many to die, most notably Drake's parents. The carnival was ruined, amny of the main acts murdered and nothing else to do but bury the dead and continue the show.

With his parents dead Drake took it upon himslef to become the main act, however he realised that it took much more then skill to become the main act. many of the crowds grew tired of his performances and with the images of his dead parents still embedded in the back of his mind he turned to what he could see as the only way out, alcohol.

His addiction to mead became so bad that he dyed his hair white, just like his father and started to perform whilst under the influence, which had a great affect on his performances. Crowds eventually became digusted by the carnivals poor main act and so did the carnival itslef. they looked down on Drake and banished his from the carnival, dumping him on the doorstep of a bar, where he now belonged and left without him.

From then on Drake simply went from bar to bar, drinking mead and taking advantage of the local women. He continued this for the next fifteen years, that was until he heard froma local drunk about the twelve ballads. Realising their potential value he gathered what ever he could get his hands on and set out to find the ballads hoping for fame, fortune, gilrs and all the mead he could drink.

Weapons: Drake focuses mainly on spellcaasting, however during his time travelling from bar to bar he learnt how to defend himself when things got a bit hairy.

Hope thats alright Morpheaus.

Name: Raz

Age: 3452

Appearance: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y87/Lonewolf85/Pics/Water.jpg

Bio:

Born in the waning centuries of the Great War, he is still considered an adolescent among the elven races. Yet he did indeed participate in the battles of days long past and remembers the years of endless bloodshed which forged him into a very cynical person. His life is spent training humans and other races for survival in the wilderness.

Raz joined the fight of the Great War when he was 250 years in elven years (25 in human). He saw many deaths and took many lives in the war. His skills with the bow became top mark during the war; his skills with a blade are average. Mid point of the war, he started to train others and help with their survival skills. He lost most of his family in the war, the only people he had to gone home to be with his mother and younger sister. He was now 700 years of age in the elven years. He tried to rid his mind of the war but it still plagued him. He learned to coop with the haunting dreams. He still trained his fellow wood brethrens in the art of combat that he new of. If a young would could not hit the center of a target more than 3 out of 3 times he would not teach them. He only wanted the best students under him, so naturally it was not odd to see many of the kids trying to get 3/3 on a target. However, no more than three of the elven kids got to train under him at a time. He trained many of his kin for a thousand years the village. His mother had past during that time as well, his younger sister had fall ill during this time also. He stopped training his students and started to care for her. The village elders and healers could not cure her she died 500 elven years later. He had lost all his family at the age of 2200

around this time he started to discover a hidden ability he did not know of during the time of the war, the ability to control water. The elders and healers where so proud that he of all-them to be blessed with water magic. This was a rare gift in the elven race, for if train properly he could have become a great healer. He refused to be trained again, for his heart was of a warrior and he trained his self under the light of the full moon, for his attacks seemed stronger. He soon let the healing power of it weaken, for it failed to save his sister. He soon became interested in the human world and travel across many countries training them for the next 1252 years. He soon started to charge for his service for living in the world with no money in the human community. He hates the praise he gets from the elven world, but seems to enjoy the rugged life the humans live. He takes up residents in small towns from the large cities. For he fells more at home near the forest.

Personality: When teaching a student, he is very stern and strict. When not teaching or fighting he is very calm, easy going and has a kind nature to him. Some say he has two different personalities

Weapon/s of Choice: Bow and a small sword hilted towards his lower back, and some water magic (if he trained it, he could heal major wounds but can only heal minor)

Name: Egrigar
Age: 1758
Appearance:
B10122.jpg

Weapon of Choice: Bastard sword

Personality: Egrigar can be sadistically over-bearing and arrogant at times. He is always the first one to run into battle and whip out his blade, good idea or not. Even through all his years, he is easily the furthest one in the group from being called 'wise'. His temper can tend to flare like a flame, jumping about when fed, even if by the smallest morsels.

Bio: Egrigar is a half elf, half dragon hybrid. He was born in the forest home of a male purple drake and a female elf. He doesnt remember much of his family, or exactly where he was born. This is due to the fact that it was against natural law to mix the species, as purple drakes felt themself utterly superior, and would not even mate with other dragon races. Mating with an elf, was punishable by death. The night he was conceived, his parents fled their homeland, and took out over the sea. In their flight, Egrigar had been dropped unkowingly from his father's back, and never saw his parent's again.

He washed ashore in Mendrimak, and was raised by a small band of human nomads until he felt himself ready to set out on his own. While he was with them, the humans raised him. They fed, protected him, taught him the ways of the land, tamed his somewhat....virile...spirit, trained him with a sword; he was much larger and stronger than humans so naturally he wielded a weapon thought by the humans to be a massive sword with quite ease, the bastard sword; and they also taught him the natural dragon art of fire breathing. In turn, he showed them all the wondrous splendor of flight, often times being the entertainment for a child or two.

Upon his 87th birthday, he decided that he would leave the band. All of the humans he'd known and loved from his youth had long since died off, and he felt his place with humans had been overstayed, and over with. With a burst of flame and a raging ego intact, he cast himself out into the world to make his way, alone and unguided.

He picked up odd jobs here and there, doing mostly manual labor that seemed too well....laborious for humans. Machines were expensive, and humans demanded very high wages for such tough work, so when Egrigar arrived, he was offered the same wage, but ended up doing the same work a hundred fold, quite a gain he'd made. Later on in life, he had enlisted himself in a bounty hunter's guild, and thrived off the rush of the kill for almost 700 years. Here he received training from some of the mightiest warriors across Liandra.

Upon leaving the guild, and up till now, he has cast himself into exile from society, living off the land and caring for naught but himself. His might has not gone unheralded, but his glory stood no ground. He had never felt the need to be accepted by a world he didnt wish to contend himself with, and so kindness never grew. Instead, during these years his heart grew cold and cynical, feeling as if the only thing that kept him going was his will, and his power.

Name: Nayr Omnioscient
Race: Half-elven, half-human
Age: 417
Appearance:
animeguy.jpg

Bio:
Nayr is half-elven, half-human. Born in a human and elvish family, stories of peace and harmony had always warmed him. The Twelve Songs of Liandra had always intrigued him, and as such his studies in history interested him. The wars particularly intrigued him, so his father taught him the basics of combat with the family treasure; Infernalcrest, a mystical sorceress sword that could control fires.

Nayr's studies in history had immediate prowess; his instructors even believed him to be a potential scholar! Nayr's father rejected their offers to other schools, however, since he wanted Nayr to become a knight. Balancing the arts of sword and history proved to be an overwhelming journey for himself, but he overcame this challenge. His mother was incredibly proud of Nayr, as was his father, but he believed his son to be a warrior.

Elvish years dwelled on for Nayr, and his aging seemed to slow, in spite of his half-human heritage. It seemed as if his life would never succumb, though his human father seemed pale and rapid in growth. His father's state allowed him to train with Nayr, just not as strenous. Nayr's training seemed to surpass that of his father, and his father laughed at such an irony.

Through years of hard training, he mastered the sword as his father died of illness. The death of his father was a close time to the start of the new wars. Nayr, being the only son in his family, besides the infant, desired to seek end for this tragic war. Leaving his small haven to the vast lands of Liandra, he journied on with the memory of his father.

Passing into the fourth largest city of New Berona, he seemed quite an eye for the passerby there. Being exiled for a hybrid, he settled away from it all to the coliseums of Eb-Car. Being ranked a formidable opponent, his skills were incredibly well in evasion and stealth. However, his battling was not efficient enough, and he lost to countless warriors.

Nayr grew a fondness for Eb-Car, especially hearing bouts of the retired gladiator, whose sword never falters to anyone. Suddenly, he heard rumors of the twelve ballads, and as such for the love of the stories his family has told him, was intrigued. Packing up all his scant belongings, he is currently in search for the ballads, in hopes of honoring his father.

Personality: An easy-going man, he enjoys the simplicities of life and is sarcastic at times. When serious, however, he is determined and straight to the point. A very difficult man to follow, his voice is as soft and mellow as the waves of seas, yet can be as angry as the furious thunderstorms. Growing a love for poetry, he is a romanticist who dreams of meeting a beautiful lass to marry.

Weapon/s of Choice:
Salient Infernalcrest-The ancient sword of his family. Kept within the elvish family traditions for centuries, it was originally a sorceress sword that was able to manipulate the flames itself.
Macabre Sabres- Twin dark blades. Rusted but made of sharpened obsidian, they are quick to the flesh and formidable. Originally used to ward off demons from entering your home and trapping them within the obsidian surface, Nayr found them in an antique store in Eb-Car.
Annis Deu Eximis- A jagged sword of strange proportion. Powerful and defensive, it is known for its use with demons and imps. Captured by Nayr from a demon, he believes it may be useful, and stashes it in his pack. Nayr uses it from time to time to demolish a demon or imp, but other than that, it lays in his pack, safely tucked.

((Original charactre. I'm sorry, none of the characters didn't really fit... and I love your storyline! BTW, if you want more swords like Infernalcrest, you can ask me! xD

37.jpg

Bio(kind of sketchy): Once upon a time he a was a prince of a far away land. His parents were assassinated in his adolescence. Unbeknowest to him it was his own power-hungry advisor who had plotted his assasination. This pretty much left him in power, but of course no one would let him rule at such a youg age. It's always the prince's advisor that takes all the kingly duties. At least until he reached eighteen. Then he would marry and gain the power that he was supposed to already have. Until then, he trained with some of the best knights in the nation. He himself would have been a top knight if he weren't already a prince, but this was all academy statistics anyways. Kale now seventeen was eager to rule. Kale's advisor now the surrogate king had gone into tyrannical status. A month later the would be king was kidnapped and was supposed to be killed. But the knights who had trained with Kale for so long couldn't bring themselves to do the deed. Instead they left him his sword and told him to run. And run he did.

After days of travel Kale ran into a group of nomads. Or at least he thought they were. Turns out they were "recriuters" from Eb-Car and they were looking for new talent. Now Kale was a very fine physical specimen and also has been traveling alone for days. Prime opportunity for these men to take Kale. They then proceeded to attack, but Kale being royalty and all wouldn't be taken without a fight. THe already exhausted Kale managed to to take out three men before he was struck unconscious.

When he woke up he was imprisoned. He was now at an arena he would soon be tossed out to the arena to be cut down by the professional gladiators. He and the other imprisoned men were given ratty wooden shields and rusty swords. They were excpected to die. But apparently they did not know who Kale was. A natural leader he saw that all these prisoners made it out of this battle alive through attrition. He waited unitl the opposition had run low on ranged weapons and then the struck. In the end the prisoners came out alive just as he said they would. This was the beginning of his legendary career. During this thime there was a very strange series of events that Kale to be in the arena with the advisor that had betrayed him. Needless to say the traitor is dead now. THis was his final match. He later announced his retirement. Kale now owns and runs an book shop in Aquila.

Personality: If you met Kale you wouldn't think that he was ever a gladiator He quite calm and observant. Unexpected for a gladiator right? It's how he went undefeated for thirty years. Taking mental notes of his opponent, scanning for weaknesses and things of the like. He is also rather humorous often joking with his employees.
Weapon/s of Choice: Sword, His own body, anything in reach. Kale is a very improvisational person.

Nudity is cause for a deleted thread. Delete your post and get out of my rp. I clearly stated that if you wish to use your own character you needed to pm the template to me for approval. I would pass it, but you've put my thread at risk with your picture, not to mention a character tha aquired power through rather inappropriate means. Please remove yourself and your post from this thread.

-Bump bump- We'll start tomorrow once I've put up a template.

Karian Lton
27
Karian was born into a family of knights, she was the only daughter of her parents and due to the influence of her older brothers all being knights along with her father being a former knight she herself set out to be one. She finally managed to get inbecause of her fathers high status and rose in the ranks quicker then her brother did. It was a suprise to all of her family. She was swift with the sword and her aim was ussually true with the arrow. Her horseback riding was exceptional. She finally made it to the rank of a knight quicker then any of her brothers had and has fought a couple of times always coming out the victor. Her strength is not very woman like because of her training.

Finally she began to train the squires of the academy where she herself was a squire. When she got her page, she worked him hard to teach him discipline. He cleaned the saddles, groomed the horses, cleaned her armor, and polish her sword and shield. She was probably one of the toughest on her page around. But it was all for good reason. But not long after his promotion to page of Knight of the People he was expelled from the academy, he has yet to tell her why but she left the academy with him.(just to make things interesting, she doesn't know why he was expelled.) She is still teaching him how to fight since his training is not yet finished but she is also aware of his unspoken feelings for her. She is now searching for the twelve ballads because she wishes eternal peace, even though she is a knight. Now, she is the disgraced knight of the shield. A disgrace to her family as well.

Karian is slightly cocky and has her share of smartass comments. But she is still pretty nice to have as a friend. Yes, she is a tomboy and hates dressing in womans clothes if she ever dresses in womans clothes it is because she was forced to. Karian can be harsh on her students and those under her command but it is ussually for a good reason.

the sword is what she will ussually use

Name: Leythaniel (Ley for short) Arbon
Age: 17

Appearance: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a374/Morpheaus/Fantasy/Scion1Cover.jpg

Bio: Born to a pair of farmers from the Plains of Rolanda, he spent the early years of his life playing with a carved wooden sword and shield. Around the age of five he started to assist his father in caring for the family's cattle herds. Though his father always impressed upon him the important of taking care of ones family he could never quite get a handle on his son. The boy loved working the farm, but swords, sorcery, and knighthood were literally in his blood. Yevus Arbon, Leythaniel's grandfather, had been a Paladin of Liandra and had served as a knight for nearly seventy years. Though Ley had never met his grandfather his mother often regaled him with stories of Yevus the legendary knight” and he yearned to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. Eventually his father came to realize that his son was not destined to be a humble farmer. When Ley was of appropriate age his father sent him to the Knight’s training academy in the Rolanda high lands. It was a painful day for both father and son, but Ley’s father reminded his son that he would always be proud of him and offered him one final gift. Heron, Sword of the Noble and last remaining heirloom of Yevus. With a heavy heart Ley bid good bye to his family and set upon the long road to knighthood.

That day turned out to be the last he would ever see of either of his parents. His father died of a heart failure while working the farm, and his mother passed away two years later, succumbing to a harsh winter. Ley received the news of his parent’s death years after the fact; he found refuge in his training at eventually managed to forget the pain of their passing. On his tenth birthday he passed a series of tests and acquired the rank of Page. This meant he could cease training with the other hopefuls and begin serving directly under a knight. Karian Lton, Knight of the Shield became Ley’s teacher; he immediately fell in love with her, but realized just how far out of his reach she was and quickly suppressed such feelings. She turned out to be a brutally strict teacher, never giving Ley a moment to rest, and always forcing him to undergo more strenuous training sessions than any other page at the academy. Resentment grew within him, yet overtime a growing mastery of the sword and magic taught him understanding and appreciation for Karian’s training methods. Years passed, Ley’s prowess as a knight grew, as did his love for Karian, and eventually he was ready for the trials of knighthood.

He passed with minimum difficulty, earning the rank Knight of the People. Shortly thereafter Ley accompanied several young knights to a nearby village. They spent the day there, eating for free at local taverns, kissing the young maidens, taking free supplies, and basically imposing their will upon the village. Ley at first mistook the free meals and supplies as generosity on part of the villagers, but soon he began to see the fear in their eyes, hear the resentment in their voice, and see the anger in their movements. He failed to stop his comrades’ behavior, partially due to the sheer shock of what he had witnessed and also because of a misplaced sense of loyalty to his fellow knights. Later at the academy he made the decision to report the actions of his fellow knights to the academy head. He was summarily expelled for the act, while the other knights were given a slap on the wrist in the form of a vow never to commit such acts again. Ley vowed from that day to always live by the code of the knights. When Karian left the academy with him, sacrificing everything for him, he fell more in love with her. The two now travel to the land of Eb-car in search of information about the Ballad’s of Lianda.

Personality: A very passionate and imaginative boy, Ley spent nearly all his life dreaming of being a noble and heroic Paladin of Liandra. This passion carries through into nearly ever facet of his life, and Ley continuously pushes himself to achieve more. For all his outwardly courageous expressions he considers himself a coward. There is a love in his heart that he hides away from the outside world, never letting anyone see his feelings, even the one he loves.

Weapons Heron; a long sword forged from dwarven and elvish hands, it allows the user to cut the wind like a birds wings.

Post time….

IC: As the overly large boat pulled into Aquila’s fishy smelling docks Ley could not help breathing a sigh of relief. He hated long ocean voyages. Admittedly this was his first, but two weeks aboard a boat filled with live stock, cotton, gin, and various travelers tended to take its toll on a person. Eb-car was a large continent and hopefully they wouldn’t be seeing another boat for awhile. He smiled, hefted his large supply bag onto his shoulder, and made sure his sword belt was securely fastened around his waste. “Karian, do you think there we’ll find cheap horses in a place like this? It’s not exactly an optimal place for breeding, or even stabling. The port is bustling though, I have to admit that.”

He turned to stare out at the hundreds of variously sized ships filling the large horse shoe shaped port of Aquila. Many of them were filled to the brim with travelers and merchants, while others held shipments ready for delivery across Liandra, and a few Ley knew, were smuggler’s ships. At least things were getting a bit more interesting.

OOC: Consider this rp started. We may have a few more late joiners, so don’t worry we’ll pick up the pace soon.

Nayr carefully examined the large ship that had just halted into the port of Aquila. Smiling to himself, he remembered the first time his father had trained him, and after he was defeated he saw a great ship west of the two. Shaking it off, what caught his vision eerily was the sight of a knight, with long blonde hair and lightweight armor. Nayr then remembered the paladin's history; grandson of the fabled Yevus. "Intriguing..." Nayr whispered to himself, checking his Infernalcrest before folding his arms. The elvish hybrid carefully unfolded a silk hankerchief, revealing a dusty leather book wrapped in vines. The legends book... written down by elves of countless centuries.. Nayr thought as he turned the pages. He stopped, and pointed at the crude but accurate image of Yevus Arbon. Closing the book, he carefully wrapped it in the hankerchief as he delicately dropped it in his pack. Staring with his silver eyes, he sighed as he walked towards a merchant who was selling crystal amulets.

<.< My character isn't famous, AF, and he's not a Paladin yet. Please don't play with his history. It's ok, no harm done for now, and it's not your fault.

Password: ranch XD I can’t come up with anything better
Name: Keladry, she goes by Kel though
Age: 23

Appearance: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v674/call_me_canada/normal_nonja.jpg
On each of her wrists she has symbols tattooed that represent the two elemental techniques in which she has been trained. One representing water (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v674/call_me_canada/logobox1.jpg *lacking the outer fancy ring thing =P*) and the other earth (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v674/call_me_canada/logo-solo.jpg *minus the coloring*).

Bio: Kel grew up on an island off the main countries of Liandra which was only inhabited by her race. From the dawn of time they were blessed with the abilities of the controlling of the elements such as fire and water. At birth each newborn is sent through a religious ceremony which in turn determined the element of the boy or girl. Some were only gifted with one element while others with two.

Though a half breed, her mother being Neko, her father was able to persuade the religious leaders to let Kel go through the ceremony. She turned out to be one of the more blessed people and was granted the gift of two elements, earth and water. Growing up Kel attended schooling like all the other child in order to hone their skills with their elements. With each lesson came certain skills that each student could use in everyday life and to even develop into a career in which to live after they had grown up.

Kel’s family grew up in the capital city of the island which was located on a cliff top overlooking the ocean. Her father worked as a foreign relations officer within the government and often went on trips off the island. Upon his arrival back home Kel was always keen on hearing about the other people that inhabited the world of Liandra and her curiosity never seemed to die down.

As she grew older she did not follow in her father’s footsteps in taking up a job with the government. She continued her schooling and became an expert with her elements and learned combat, both physical and with weaponry.

Personality: Since she was young Kel has always been a curious person and often found herself asking too many questions and not being able to receive enough answers. During her life she never allowed for their to be any limits as to what she could do and saw that their was no limit as long as she could set her mind to it. Kel is a dreamer and pictures the world as what she wants it to be.

Weapon/s of Choice: Kel often uses her elemental powers but can also be found using her twin sais (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v674/call_me_canada/sai.jpg) or any object that may be available in a time of need.
_______________________________________________________

Arching her back slightly Kel looked out in front of her at the large port of Aquila. A yawn escaped from her lips as she swung down from the large branch which she had slept on the previous night. Moving her way down the branches with ease her feet soon reached the ground. It was the start of a new day and her destination would finally be reached.

“Well I would have gotten here sooner if I hadn’t been interrupted.” Kel mumbled under her breath as she headed to the main road. In the previous town she had run into a bit of trouble with the authorities after getting into a fist fight with a man at a bar. “Some people are just so rude. . .” Her destination stood only some two miles outside of the port but by the time she had arrived at the end of the forest the previous day night had already fallen. At that point in time she had been exhausted and in no mood to attempt to reach the port in pitch dark. Instead she had camped out within the branches of one of the trees at the very edge of the forest.

As she reached the main road leading into the town she secured her sais in their holders behind her back before starting her way down the trail. Thoughts began to fill her head, ideas of how nice it would feel to sleep in an actually bed for at least a night. She couldn’t help but smile at the simple pleasures in which she looked forward too and was soon walking the crowded streets of the port. One could name at least twenty races or more just by scanning through the people that were in the shops and roads. Stopping to look into a window of a weaponry shop she wondered what the feelings of some of the races were. It seemed as if most recently problems had been arising between the people of Liandra.

Sinara looked around Aquilla, hmmm nice place she though to herself. The port stank of fish yet she was used to that smell as her adopted father Ash seemed to think that the more fish you ate the stronger you became or something stupid like that so she was expected to eat fish at least three times a week something she avoided at all costs. She scanned around mostly checking out the best people to pickpocket from before she stopped herself, she was here on buisness not pleasure. Well maybe one wallet wouldnt hurt too much...
Sinara bumped into a youngish man and while apoligizing managed to get his wallet. After walking away she emptied it and threw the wallet into the water besides her on the port. "Hmmm I wonder where the rest of the people are...." she muttered to herself. As she continued on wrinkling her nose as passed a particularely (sp?) smelly fishing boat.

"I'm sure we'll find something. If we don't then you might just have to play the pack horse."

She didn't mind boats, but having to be on one this long was just absolutly irritating. She never wanted to have to smell animal waste again when it was within closed quarters. She lightly placed a strand of her hair behind her ear and out of her face to make it easier to see. Finally the boat docked and she grabbed her small pack and adjusted her own sword so it was at her side and easy on her arm to pull it out. it must be known by now that she had deserted her position and people would look at her with disgust if they knew what she looked like but her pride wouldn't allow for her to take that. She kept a straight face and walked off the boat.

"We can find something, I'm sure."

The port was bustling with life but the jostling didn't really bother Karian, infact she hardly felt it. She was ussually numb to things like that since she had felt much worse. Try taking a sword hilt to the neck, now that is something to complain about. She had a stiff neck for a week after that one. That was from when she was a page and the knight she had been assigned to was a tough one, so she herself became tough on the pages and squires she taught.
