First thing I'll say before you read anything is that I'm writing this up as a primarily experimental RP. I've made it simple and given fairly strict regulations to see how it will play out. Example: There are only 2 teams, and the story is very simple.

Scenario:
The year 2011 and the continuing economic crisis has pushed further financial pressures on the countries of the world. Most notably, the trade embargo placed on China after threatening the west with nuclear capabilities. This pushed China to seek farming an mining lands beyond they're borders Invading and quickly conquering south east Asia and Tibet. Now the Chinese government has set it's iron sights to India who, having already been prepared, set up they're army in defense. The conflict rages in to 2012. With tensions building, USA has been backing India while Russia has been backing China, both major superpowers staying out of the conflict.
At last on the 13th of October, a minimal nuclear exchange occurs between India and China. Fears of another Cold War spread throughout the world and the pressure is put onto America who begin the first in a series of conflicts with Russian Forces in the Pacific and Eastern Europe. In 2014, long after China's takeover of India, full conventional war is declared. Nuclear devices are agreed by both governments to not be used. This is where our story begins: Kiev, Ukraine.

Let's talk about the most important thing in this RP:
YOU!
You can be any form of soldier in the Navy, Air Force, Army or any participating group as long as your character(s) are in the action. (Rather then a General with a map and a cup of tea). You are either Russian or American. No exceptions, England isn't in the fight this early. You will start in Kiev, where an open firefight has broken out over control of the city.

Starting location: (Any made up places in Kiev are fine too)

Load out: (Guns and Equipment. Be reasonable. Check here if there you aren't so weapon savvy)
Bio/Back story/Age/Notes: (As this is generally a shoot em up RP (It may develop into a much more story based one in the future) This section is completely optional)

Roles:
Roles are the job each solider has in the military. The Roles in the
army include: (They can be moved around a little if you need be)
- Assault:
-1 Primary weapon. (Assault Rifle)
-1 Secondary Weapon. (Pistol, small sub mac)
-Grenades
-1 Melee (Please be reasonable)
-Lots of Ammo - Demolitions:
-1 Explosive weapon. (Rocket Launcher, Mortor etc.)
-1 Shotgun
-Pistol
-Explosives (C4 etc)
-Melee - Sniper:
-1 Sniper Rifle
-1 Pistol
-1 Melee
-1 Support weapon (Laser Pointer etc) - Specialist:
-1 Sub Machine Gun
-1 Pistol
-1 Melee
A small selection of gadgets. (Be reasonable)
In the Navy and Air force the Roles are much more malleable (you can toy with and bend), they include:
- Pilot: (Navy and Air force. Research Aircraft if need be)
-1 Aircraft (lol) - Seaman: (Navy only. Works on a sea vessel. Research if need be)
-You get it. They work on a boats.

In the first period of the RP, I will control most of the larger world events, however if this RP does garner support most users will be able to shift the flow on a much larger scale. Once again, I stress the point of no magic, or any reference to it at this point. This is strictly a modern warfare RP.
