This may have been said before, I dunno, sorry if it has.

Anyways! When Sora and co first visit Port Royal, he says something like, "Boy this place has changed" implying that he's been there before?

Now they did not go to Port Royal in KH1.

Is this a mistranslation or not?

I personally remember no such thing being said. I likely would have remembered it.

And I doubt it was a mistranslation error, since anyone working on the game would have realised that Sora had never been to Port Royal.

Perhaps he mistook it for another town or world?

Yeah, the above two are right. I mean, look at all the other worlds that they have visited by Disney. They have all been sun-shiny and happy. Then this place is dark and broody.

Well, it obviously means it's just different from other worlds they've been to. There, everything is real... compared to the usual 'toons.
