[Haku]

This is mainly about a group of poems that I came up with a while ago. I know that the title is a little cheesy but bear with me.


Poem 1 "When I First Saw You"

When I first saw you by the river I thought I was in a movie

A movie by which anything can happen

Oh how I wanted to come up to you and say hello

But instead I walked on with thoughts of regret in my heart.

Alright this is the end of the first one, I promise that the next few will be much longer. Comments are greatly appreciated.

Awww, I've had this feeling before, and poems that evoke feelings are not cheesy, they do just as a poem does, tell a feeing ^-^

 

[Constellations]

that was really good Haku. and yeah i agree with Silent about poetry. its not cheesy or corny or w/e it comes from the heart and mind. its a way to express your inner feelings and i think that poetry is a great way to express it.

Thanks Silent Avera and Angelsinflight! I was a little worried that no one would even pay attention to this thread, and what I meant by cheesy was the title I thought that I should have came up with something better than "Poetry in Motion".

Alright everyone here is the second poem and I'm sorry to say that this one is about the same as the first in length but, the others I will try to make a bit longer.

Poem 2 "She Was Gone"

Some say she wished too long

Some say she wished too little

She walked across the lawn to see the crack of dawn

But as soon as it came up

She was gone.

Alright this is the end of poem 2, comments are greatly appreciated.

Wow... someone that actually makes poems work... mine are more like epitaphs than haikus...

I'm afraid so that quite a few of my poems do invoke the meaning of sadness and being alone but, there are a few that are happy as well.

okie !! sad poems are kinda nice in my op. since they portray a person's wishes well at least in my op. XD

Yeah I would say out of just about all of the poems that I'm going to post about 70% of them are sad.
