Nomura hints at more FF remakes in the future

I commented elsewhere about the V and VI. It's funny how they FORGOT that they already did a 2d remake for both V and VI for mobile devices. They're acting as if they never remade them visually when they already did. And the only way I would play them remade is if it was done again with 2d sprites. I'll be damned if I'm gonna play some butchered 3d thing. I HATED what they did with the original 3 and what they did with 4....those looked like pieces of garbage on the DS. And somehow people played them anyway....ugh it disgusts me when something 2d is remade or turned 3d. Same with Dragon Quest, when they went into the 3d world for the first time with Dragon Quest I thought I was gonna puke in my mouth. I still feel this way. I'm a purist I admit it. If its originally made 2d, it should remain 2d. Simple as that. There is absolutely no reason for them to do these in 3d.....

I personally just got bored with FFIII, FFIV I felt was fantastic, and had hints of what they would later do for Bravely Default. It isn't really as bad as you make it sound, as they kind of need to do this. They made it work, and still kept the feeling presented in the original sprites.

Also, I'm not too sure a port to mobile device is the same thing as a remake, just as the port emulation to PSN doesn't mean jack shit to me for FFIX.

I think the main issue is people don't like change. They want the same thing over and over again without realizing they haven't improved or went up in any way since the beginning. Change is necessary. But if you've played the originals already, nobody's making you play the 3D visual copy.

Something for FFIX.
It deserves it.

I don't care if it's a shitty side game, or a sequel, or even more out there, a remake. I'd even be happy with a freaking Tetra Master official mobile game.

It's had NOTHING.

VIII at least has revisit value with the PC ports now available [and playable *ahem*] on Steam. IX got ignored on this front, I'm not even sure why? But VIII also gets attention with Triple Triad being everywhere as well.

Time will tell. FF7-9 are really big for its time. All three deserves a remake. I can't wait for the day to see that FF8 remake introduction video.

I loved the FFIV remake on the DS. I wish they'd do that game in a full 3D and HD remake for the PS4.
