Is a Nintendo DS lite capable to play japanece games when the DSlite is european?

I would assume so. American DS Lite's can play Japanese games, so I don't see why they wouldn't allow Euro's to do that.

Can a DS play a japanese game? Maybe......I just have a regular DS. -_- Maybe.....consdering everything else can (systems).

The DS is region free so it's the same everywhere. (except the Chinese version) You'll be able to play japanese games but obviously you won't understand anything. (unless you find a guide)

Yes. YES. The DS Lite (no matter where you got it) is region free and can play games from around the world.

But! that leads to a strange question which i must find out

If i buy pokemon diamond next month in japanese.....will i be able to communicate with people who get the english version in 2007?

Any Nintendo DS is capable of playing any Nintendo DS game, regardless of it's country of origin. No adapters/accessories/etc. required.
