Mission Mode?

I just got Days yesterday, and I have some questions about mission mode.

1)When I chose Single Player, it asked me to pick a character. Do I get to change this character ever? I like Roxas, but I also really like Zexion and Marluxia.

2)What is the benefit of playing mission mode, exactly?

3)Can you compete in multiplayer or only co-op?

1) Yes, before/after every mission.
2.) You get challenge sigils, that after you get the shop, unlocks items.
3.)It's local, (people near you, up to 4)

EDIT: 3.) You do both. You co-op to finish the mission, but those diamond things are mission points you compete for. Tge most=win.

They should!But you know it's a DS,it's not made for High Quality games.

You've probably found it by starting, but in regards to 2, you actually get crowns for mission mode, and sigils for challenges in single player. Considering that Echoes of Time has online multiplayer, using technology that SE developed, I'm kind of surprised that this doesn't have some form of online play.

be just like the wii i mean it gets boring beating mission mode by urself (which i did)
