MF time power origin?

It's not a full blown theory or anything and it barely has any analysis but after seeing another thread about the RoD and the RoL I thought about something: Apparently in the RoD time flows differently than in the Realm of Light. Is it possible that MF is utilizing time differences from the Realm of Darkness within the Realm of Light? I know it sounds farfetched and all but why else would Nomura introduce the time thing in the RoD in BBS and have a time based enemy also appear in said game. It could be (most likely) coincidence, but I just wanted to throw it out there.

Time slows in the RoD, but it doesn't go in reverse.

Maybe the MF is manipulating time somehow??
