he can never keep a girlfriend anyways...for once tho, i wanted him to know what it was like to get blown off like i was

I'm sure everyone's felt like that at one point or another. As for doing something like that, it's better for you to act on instinct than be advised, especially considering only you know all the specifics.

i am too much of a good person...so much in fact, that one might say it was spineless

although i would loathe it, its better to get it out before its too late

That's probably the best approach. And btw, it wouldn't be spineless. To be merciful is pretty much the opposite of spineless because you can conquer your temptation. If you wanna call it something, call it courageous.
