I got done reading this book about a month ago, but had a crazy dream about it last night. Decided to make a post about it.
Life As We Knew It is a book that is in diary form, and takes place from the view point of a teenage girl. When an insanely large asteroid hits the moon knocking it very close to the earth it causes climate, tides, tectonic plates (volcanos/earthquakes) to go insane. The main character, Miranda, tries to survive the 'end of the world'.

Bleh Bleh BLEHHHHH....(((

Personally, for anyone who's read the book, I think its possible.

I've read it, after finding nothing else to do while bored one night.

It was alright, though I probably enjoyed it more because I read it in one sitting. I don't know that it would have held my attention as well otherwise. At any rate, it was loads better than The Road, which is the last similar novel that I read.

And as far as plausibility goes, I would think that it's technically close to what could happen in that situation, even if the chances of that situation are exceedingly slim.
