In the beginning of the game, Sora couldnt kill heartlesses unless without the Keyblade, the only weapon that can kill them. Well some points in the game everybody can hit them! Why is that?

ANYTHING, can kill a Heartless. Only a KEYBLADE can release captive hearts from the Heartless.

Yeah, just like you can't hit a Nobody with your Struggle weapon, and yet, you see Leon, Donald, Goofy, and everybody owning them. Also, when in Hollow Bastion, you can hit Heartless with the Wooden Sword, but in Destiny Islands, you can't even touch them.

To an extent yes. It had to allow a purpose for the Keyblade to enter within the game maybe?

I believe it did no damage at the start as Sora was rather weak within his heart so to speak. Leon explained about the Heartless, and also said that the Keyblade is the only weapon capable of defeating them. However we do see Donald and Goofy use weapons to defeat Heartless. Maybe the magic with their weapons has something to do with it? i.e. Mickey?

We also know the heartless are attracted to the Keyblade, so maybe this is also valid information?

Ugh, I don't know it's 3:15AM in the morning here. xD

Sora became alot stronger between Destiny Islands and Hollow Bastion, so he was able to hit them in Hollow Bastion.
Plus I'd hardly consider a wooden sword/struggle bat a weapon.
Even in Hollow Bastion, with the wooden sword, you only took off, like, 2 health points off the heartless with each hit.

Yes, it doesn't have to be a keyblade. Remember that Sora had to fight with the wooden sword at first in Hollow Bastion too.. But he was stronger then. He wasn't that strong in the begginning of the game.

Fighting with the wooden sword wasn't exactl "canon" in Hollow Bastion. Back on Destiny Islands, it was directly shown that the sword couldn't hurt Shadows. You don't have to fight in Hollow Bastion, and the sword is just a placeholder.

Or the Shadows are invicnible to stop level grinding. Either or.

Any weapon can kill a heartless, but only the keyblade releases the hearts/sends them to Kingdom Hearts.

As for Donald and Goofy (and everyone else) apparently being able to, it's just an animation. A minor detail. Might be the fact that the team just didn't want to make another animation for characters besides Keyblade wielders. I wouldn't spend too much time pondering over the matter.

Anyhow, question's been answered, don't see much need to allow this to remain open.
