Ok, now before I say this, understand that I fully know what a Heartless is, and partly know what a Nobody is. I'm not ignorant.

Wouldn't it make more sense, in Kingdom Hearts, if they all called the "Heartless" nobodies?
They're not entirely heartless, they have the darkness of the heart- and that's still "hearty". Also, the name "Nobody" fits the Heartless because they loose their personality, feelings, and memories. They certainly are "Nobody".

And wouldn't it make a LOT more sense if the "Nobodies" in Kingdom Hearts 2 were called the Heartless? Because "Nobodies" TRUELY don't have a heart!

So I'm just sayin'- wouldn't it make more sense if the two names were switched?

^^ yeah i always thought that. it's complete irony

heartless = heart (no body, no soul, nothing, just a heart)
nobody = body and soul (they have a body, but no heart XD)

it's ironic

Yeah I always thought about that too. They both need hearts. Heartless graves hearts while nobodies need hearts so they can become complete beings. I guess they are differnt creatures because they were made in a whole nother way. And they need hearts for differnt reasons.

I can see how a Nobody would be called a Nobody.
I think the real irony comes that the beings who were born from the darkness of hearts are called Heartless.

I mean- I've been confused for SO long about Heartless. Do they have no heart? What does Ansem mean about the darkness that makes them?

I'm sure that tons of other peoples have had the same issues as I have..

beyond my imagination?

All my knowledge has provided no answer. One thing I am sure of is
that they are entirely devoid of emotion. Perhaps further study will
unlock the mysteries of the heart. Fortunately, there is no shortage of
test samples.

They are multiplying underground even as I write this report. They
still need a name.

Those who lack hearts... I will call them the Heartless.

The Heartless appear in groups, and are multiplying rapidly. I've
provided them both living and nonliving samples. They've responded only
to the living. They seem to multiply after absorbing something from the
living creatures. Their prey vanishes without a trace.
I believe the Heartless are taking hearts. They are born from those
who've lost their hearts, and thrive on hearts seized from others. The
hearts taken by the heartless become Heartless themselves.

Though I lack proof, I am confident in this hypothesis. I must also
study their behavioral principles.

Though they lack emotions, they do seem to have some intelligence. How
to communicate with them?

It's just occurred to me: Could they be the darkness in people's
hearts?






as you can see tyhe heartless were named before we found out what they were

Ah, thanks for bringing that to the table, VA. So it's Ansem's fault. That guy keeps screwing things up over and over.

It's kinda like one of those bad nicknames you get when you're a kid, and when you grow up you'd just WISH people would stop calling you that.

now I know that Heartless are hearts without bodies and nobodies are bodies and souls without hearts but there is one thing I've always been confused about.


In Ansem report 3

Also leon and DiZ have said similar remarks.

I'm confused can someone tell me why the same mistake is made THREE times, or is it a plot twist for KH3

So that's how Behemoths are created...from a dog that lost it's heart. lol


But, back on topic. Ansem said that there are 2 types of heartless: the artificially made heartless (the one's with the mark on them. These heartless are made from Ansem's machine which can be seen in End of the World) and the naturally made heartless (the one's that are completely black, like Darksides, Shadows and Darkballs. These are made from pure darkness) So I wonder if Nobody's have differnet types...
