I posted this a few weeks ago on KH-2net.
After playing KH2 through for the second time, I still haven't got any better at reading or speaking Japanese. However, the identities and motives of many characters have become very clear to me. Below is my final analysis/opinions of the main points from two hidden movies. It may be right, it may be wrong. This analysis reveals a lot about KH2 but also sets the stage for many other events in KH2. Read at your own risk!!!
"Another Side, Another Story"
After meeting certain requirements, this movie is shown at the end of the American release of KH. It takes place in the final world you unlock in KH2, "The World That Never Was". The unknown figure who carries two keyblades (Oath Keeper and Oblivion) is Roxas. He is also the thirteenth member of the XIII Order and I think is considered to be Sora's "Nobody". The Blindfolded unknown on the roof of the building with pink hair is Riku. I believe the reason he is blindfolded is because when Riku was possessed by Ansem, Ansem was defeated and "shown the light". But the light was so bright, it blinded Riku. The young woman on the beach of "Destiny Island" watching a star fall from the sky is Kairi. The falling star probably signifies the heartless taking over another world. This can be said because in the beginning of KH1, (if I remember straight) King Mickey makes a reference to stars falling in his letter. If you slow the movie down, you can also see an image of Kairi on the TV screen below Riku. I still don't know what it means. After Roxas is surround by Neo Shadows, he ask Riku, "Where's Sora?" signifying that he might be looking for Sora in order to protect, inform, or destroy him.
"Deep Dive"
After meeting certain requirements, this movie is shown at the end of the Japanese re-release of KH1, Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. The movie starts of by showing a "message in a bottle" on an unknown beach. The message in the bottle is from Kairi. The contents of the message surprised me. At the beginning of the menu movies in both KH1 and 2, we are shown what I thought was a poem: "Thinking of you…" In reality, it is a letter written from Kairi to Sora and/or Riku that they receive at the end of KH2. The movie continues on showing Roxas fighting Neo Shadows. One of his attacks includes "Strike Raid". Roxas then looks up at Riku and runs up the side of the same building while Riku takes a "deep dive" of the roof. At the same, Roxas throws the Oblivion keyblade to Riku. In KH2, this whole scene is recreated and both of them go on to fight the Neo Shadows then each other. At the end of the fight, Riku keeps the Oblivion keyblade. The reason for this is still unknown to me. During the movie, we are also shown scenes of two Order members on the unknown beach having a conversation. The glowing-eyed member is believed to Roxas. This can be said because the sitting member tells Roxas, "He looks just like you." If you look closely at pictures on the internet, Soar and Roxas have the same face and eyes but different hair styles and costumes. This theory can be confirmed by watching the ending movie of KH2. This whole scene is also recreated at the beginning of KH2. The Order member sitting down, talking to Roxas is Xemnas, the number 1 member of the XIII order and he is also the hidden boss in KH:FM who fights with light sabers in Hollow Bastion.
