Disney Shelves 'Jack and the Beanstalk' Film 'Gigantic' (Exclusive) | Hollywood Reporter

it was revealed that the very anticipated Disney's Gigantic, based on Jack & The Beanstalk had been shelved and would no longer continue production. This is very sad news for all of those who had the interest to see this movie, to bring an old tale for a new twist. According to this announcement another film has taken over Gigantic's recent date of 2020 with no further details being shared of what it will be about. Yeah this is very sad. I saw a lot of potential in Gigantic but now all that we know will come within the coming years will be sequels. WIR2 & Frozen 2. Are you upset as well that Gigantic is no longer being made?

This is so depressing... this was the movie's progress that I was looking forward to this D23.

There was so much potential there, the Spanish influences, the Gigantic society, etc. I really hope that it isn't shelved for too long.
