Data World Confusion

I haven't played Kingdom Hearts 2 in a while and it sucks that you can't watch the cutscenes again without having to play the entire game just to watch it. but let me get to the point.
Is Sora and friends still in the data world? it's been bothering me. Before you reach "The World That Never Was" you have to go through Twilight Town and go to the secret computer room, right? As far as I remember, Sora and party used the computer to go to the data world that Roxas was in at the beginning of the game. There they find a shadow portal that takes them to "The World that Never Was." And I don't recall them leaving that data world. We left Olette and friends behind operating the computer...are they still there? Did Sora use that purple shadow portal to teleport to that "TWTNW?"
I'm so confuzzled and it would really help if you guys can help me out here. I would sure appreciate it! ^_^

no, they aren't.

the corridor of darkness that takes them to TWTNW (Betwixt(sp?) and Between) links that world to the virtual TT. it isn't part of the virtual world, just linked to it.

Actually, you don't have to do that. If you visit YouTube or KH-Vids.net, you should be able to find whatever KH cutscenes you're looking for.

No, they're not. They did enter the Digital Twilight Town, but The World That Never Was is not part of the digital world. You could say that the portal they entered took them out of the digital world and back into the real one.

Hayner, Pence, and Olette stayed behind to hold down the fort while Sora was away, but in the credits, we saw Hayner in a Struggle match against Seifer. I'm assuming that they left after a few hours when nothing happened.

they are in the real world, cuz after they beat Xemnas, they go bach to destiny island, and as far as I know, there is no data destiny Island. (exept for in caste oblivion)

I don't feel like explaining right now, but they did use the light portal to get to the other Twilight Light Town. Then they used the floating balling to lead them to TWTNW.
