It's been a while since I was into DGD, but I really got into their Happiness album.

I have waves of enjoying Dance Gavin Dance, but in retrospect....their best album is still Downtown Battle Mountain.

Downtown Battle Mountain and its respective sequel, Johnny Craig isn't what makes the band (Will Swan is) but it's unquestionable that they really did just put a lot more effort into their material featuring the original vocalists. I do enjoy a few songs off the self titled though. But yea as far as DGD goes the two DBM albums are by far the best.

dgd's new album was one of the shittiest albums produced this year, and i would probably consider them to be my favorite band.
