Voices. Two. Speaking....something. Not. English. Movement. Underneath. Pain, pain, pain all over. Eyes open and saw two figures, shapes different. Tai looked at them with lifeless eyes, one of them putting what he thought as fingers on his lips, telling him, to rest. So he did.

Tai opened his eyes and sat up. He was in a bed, single sized for himself. His mind slowly coming to him, slowly returning from his distant idea's. Soon the color came back into his face and his pupils returned to his eyes. He blinked.

He blinked a few more times to adjust to the new environment. The blurry images began to come into focus. He was in a room, gray walls all around him, no doors, no windows. Just, him and this bed. Tai tried to move but felt something on his chest pulling against him. He felt his chest and realized his clothes had been replaced with those of a hospital patient might wear, but somehow it felt...different. It felt like it was on his skin. Trying to move again, Tai succeeded in getting his feet out of the bed and out of the covers.

Putting them down, he felt the cold ground, his toes moving through the strange ground. It didn't feel like concrete or tile, it felt alien like it wasn't suppose to be. Getting himself situated was well enough. He looked at himself a bit more, sure that from what he could remember, his injuries were severe, but as he felt his arms and legs, no pain. None at all. A look of confusion and curiosity grabbed his mind. He fell backwards slightly that he was leaning on his bed. His face a mixture of confusion and puzzlement.

Soon a Shoowish sound came from the wall in front of Tai, and a white light came from it, blinding Tai that he had to put his arm up to shield himself. He heard what sounded like foot steps. As he tried to adjust to the light he saw a figure stand in what looked like a doorway.
"Hm...Test #5. Tai Kamiya." A voice that sounded like it had spoken english for the first time came from the figure. It wasn't the greatest english Tai had heard but he had heard it correctly.
It had said his name.

Soon a flipping of paper and a thud next to the figure came from his or its direction. It crossed what looked like arms over its chest.
"Though you had failed, you were....most peculiar." The figure spoke almost like it was speaking to itself. Tai tried making sounds but all he could get out was a single word.
"Who...?" The figure looked up, possibly surprised that Tai was up and about and could almost speak. It began to take a step forward but stopped itself and began making a sound similar to a chuckle.

"Ah yes. Just like the others we found, you human's always seem to want to know who your savior is. I don't mind, but after the first few hundred it gets tiring from answering it over and over." The figure spoke with a hint of being amused and at the same time slightly annoyed. Tai raised his arm up to see if he could grab the figure by walking towards it, but his feet dragged themselves, not wanting to move.

The figure put its hands up, signaling for Tai to rest. It then turned around and took a step towards the white light before stopping again.
"Don't worry Tai. Your not alone, and your in good hands. Very, good hands." With that the figure walked into the white light and the automatic door closed behind it. Tai stood there, his feet getting cold from the flooring that they were on. Realizing that he couldn't do anything, he got back into bed.

In another room....

The figure from before entered a room with a bunch of electronics making all kinds of sound. The figure sat down and stared at the window that looked in on Tai. Tai was getting settled in his bed, probably about to go to sleep. The figure took what looked like a cup from a nearby desk and sipped it.
"Just another human from Earth for us to test." The figure spoke in another language not known to any human.

It leaned forward and its appearance showed that it was indeed not human. It had a face of an alien, and a the appearance of a human doctor. Leaning back in its chair it began to type up something on its computer.

"Entry #5. Tai Kamiya. Human. Test subject of Humans with special powers. #1,007 out of 2,003 test subjects taken from planet Earth."
"Chance of survival:... 27%."
"Rating:... B ranking human."
"Entries entered. List is now full."

Resting in his seat, the alien took out a device and put it in its mouth. A smoke like vapor soon began to come out of it. A smile appeared on its strange looking face.
"It's time."
