That would make sense seeing as we learned in CoM that there was a shooting star when Sora was like 4 or something. That was also about the time that Kairi was supposed to have arrived at the islands.

Well, back in BBS, he was 4 years old and 10 years later, he would be 14 years old. I doubt that shooting star is indeed lil' Kairi falling from the sky and arrived on the world (However this make sense)

I also don't think that the star could mean that someone (KH Xehanort) has break the barriers between each worlds.
