That's rather strange ... :/ Could you possibly swap it for another one and just say that the one you have is faulty?
And I'm not sure to be honest. There is a thread about it somewhere and I think I read about some of the skins containing a harmless virus. Also, I think from time to time they change the layout. Also, You can set the layout for youself if you don't like it the way it is - either go on you User CP or it's at the bottom of the page with a drop-down arrow.

Yeah, that could be it ... Did you check the disk for scratches too? That could've been a reason as well ...
