I was thinking that KH3 was lacking a middle point and some time to flesh out the revived characters (IE giving them screentime that their fans wanted). So I was thinking what if they did the following:

After they're all killed, we see Sora wake up in The Final World and he's told that he has to build himself back and he can get a second chance... but he needs his friends' help. He works on building himself back, which then results in the time warp. The other guardians don't see Sora. Namine informs Kairi that he's piecing himself together, but he needs them to go to the worlds that he visited to make sure that they're safe, as he needs all his friends' bonds to bring him back.

Each guardian visits a world (you play as the guardian) and essentially have a 2nd visit:
Aqua w/Ven - visits Toy Box and The Caribbean
Kairi w/Axel - visits Olympus (not "heroes", so they open up the Coliseum portion of Olympus... Zack hits on Kairi), Kingdom of Corona and Arendelle
Riku w/Mickey - visits Monstropolis and San Fransokyo

After you complete the 2nd visits, you return to the Keyblade Graveyard and summon Sora, then continue as KH3 normally is.

Easily. I think that would require a lot more work from the developers of course, but I think a second visit could fix a ton, a TON of the issues people have with the Disney worlds, and moving that fight to the middle of the game would help the pacing out so much. It would give the other guardians time to develop, would make the fight where the Lingering Will shows up much more intense, would give the new org members time to get more fleshed out... it's storyline ideas like this that really show where KH3 messed up and what could have been done to fix the issues fans have had with the finished game.

I don't think it would have been that hard on the developers side. They already had Aqua and Riku programmed. Plus a second visit wouldn't necessarily have been longer than Sora's visit, so the controls wouldn't have to be that fleshed out.

No, as I'm not a fan of unnecessary padding. If the lack of a middle point is the problem, make RG playable or make TT a real hub world. Something similar to this would have killed what I like about KH3's story.
