No one could be better than Marluxia. I would like to see Saix or someone like that, though.

This is to Riku Fan1415...

The way that i see it is this: Xemnas was looking for the Room of Awakening, and he picked Castle Oblivion for the next place to look. He knew that it lied within the In-Between Realm, and it would be a good place to hide something. He also had just attained some new members into the Organization and needed a way to see if they were truly loyal to him. Therefore, he decided to kill two birds with one stone: weed out suspicions of new members & search a possible location for the Room. So in he sends Marluxia & Larxene, along with Axel, since he is also pretty suspicious. But he figured it wouldn't be prudent if he didn't send in some senior members along as way to keep tabs on the newcomers. So he sends in Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion. After picking the members to go in, he decides to throw Namine into Marluxia's hands, to see what he would use her for. He figures that no matter what he does, it would be beneficial to him. He would either A) remain loyal and bring Sora to him, or B) use Namine and Sora to his own liking, which would help Xemnas learn about his new member's traitorous intents. If Marluxia did A, then it would help with the destruction of Heartless and creation of their own Kingdom Hearts, but if Marluxia picked B, it wouldn't have mattered because he already had Roxas to do that job, and Sora would have just been extra power. He had also positioned other members to take out Marluxia if the time came. Now in comes Sora, which conforms Xemnas' suspicions about Marluxia & Larxene. So Axel learns about Marluxia's intentions, and tries to stop him. But first he needs to get close to the conspirators. To do this, he commits a traitorous act and kills Vexen on Marluxia's behalf. He tries to eliminate the true traitors afterwards, but Sora gets to them first and does Axel's job for him. But Axel knows about Zexion's abilities, and knows that he would know about him killing Vexen, so he has to go and eliminate him to, so Xemnas doesn't find out about what he did (I suppose he would try and take out Lexaeus as well, but since he already was killed...). So afterwards Axel leaves the Castle and returns to Xemnas, to tell him about Marluxia's actions and that Sora & Riku had killed the other 5 members. And because of what had happened, Sora was still able to be beneficial to the Organization's needs, which is what Xemnas' was probably "glad" about.

Hope this helps you out for the reasoning behind why Xemnas chose Marluxia as the lord of the Castle, and not anybody else. But as for the topic of this thread, I would have chosen either Saix or Luxord.
