Aw, it seems pretty cute but I'd take Jungle Book or Robin Hood over it any day.
Now, preferences aside it would seem more reasonable that whatever worlds we see would probably be from films that were already out by the time KH4 started pre-production, right? Is there an estimate or blind guess for when that would have been?

BH6 was decided upon about a year after KH3 was in full development, and Nomura said they were cutting it close with that one, so I'd say anything after 2022 is probably not likely

Interesting, if 2022 is still on the table it would be pretty cool to have Lightyear for that Zurg boss fight we missed out on for Toy Box, as well as potentially matching with the parallel reality themes. If Buzz is a toy based on a TV Show or movie in Toy Box, then that TV show or movie might fit as a world in unreality, the same way Yozora/VR is a game in that world but exists on the other side.

Granted, I haven't seen Lightyear either (my last Disney film was Incredibles 2) so maybe my premise doesn't make any sense.

not to make too huge a thing out of it because it don't matter but I never understood the rage over no Zurg in KH3. He's not the primary villain of any Toy Story film, he's not even an antagonist in a Toy Story film... He's the villain in the franchise Buzz comes from, but he's more of a joke as a toy. I didn't particularly love the final boss of Toy Box, but Zurg would have been worse because he's a literal gag character in Toy Story 2.

We're also likely getting the character Zurg was based on, Darth Vader. I'd rather fight him than the robot with the tennis balls.

I will be seated. I enjoyed the 2nd one even though it very much felt like a retread of the first film. That universe has a lot of potential to explore though.

I didn't really follow KH discussion very closely until I joined here a couple of months ago, so I didn't know there was rage over no Zurg, which does seem pretty stupid. I will say this, though: it would have been a better setpiece to fight him than a large heartless (and other villains for that matter, I would have preferred to fight nanomachine guy from BH6 rather than Big Cube or whatever.). I'm sure the battle team would've figured out a way to make that fight interesting.

Since the Pixar crew worked closely to help write the plot of these worlds, it's likely they also don't consider Zurg a relevant enough character to be included, but there was probably some way they could have written him into that story.

Watch as Vader's darkness consumes him and he turns into a giant [new enemy type] instead.
Also, can the basement where they greenlight these sequels collapse already? Toy Story 4 was ass, there's no need for yet another one.

Well some of us here actually watched BLoSC.

Besides, I basically figured a Surf would involved him piloting some sort of "Zurg's evil battleship playset" thing. Then it turns out out we got the ship but not the damn pilot. Like how would it be to make 1 little change so it goes from a heartless to Disney boss?!
