He is so unconfident, everyone belittles him and calls him weak or dumb in the face. He was so cocky in previous game, like Tidus, he thought he was the Keyblade champion or something. But here we see a different Sora, whose cutscene feats are completely different from what he does ingame. He is repeatadely shown to ge owned by the Organization members, a bit too much if you ask me. Also, why does he hug Kairi in KG instead of using his keyblade to BLOCK like he did in KH1???
Moreover, in San Frnasokyo, they put those reality agumenting glasses and he see a Shadow then starts having a panic attack like he never saw one before. WTF was that? In KH1 when he was still starting out, he destroyed a Shadow in front of Riku just to show off. But now, after having vanqished who knows how many Heartless, he acts like 1 Shadown is the biggest threat ever. Am i missing something here? Then when he is about to fighter Yozor and the latter pulls a sowrd Sora goes like "Theeeen whats with the weapon???" like he never saw a sword before, never been in a fight with someone before and more importantly, did he firget he defeated a neart omnipotent Xehanort??? Like, does he think Yozora is stronger than Xehanort of something? Why is he such a chicken in this game? He is so weak and cowardly.
Even in KH1, he was braver and never gave up. I have heard several apologetics for this, that KH1 Sora was a one time hero and KH3 is more fleshed out, with room for growth but there are sooo many franschises like One piece for example, where the protagonist, Luffy in this case, has a persistant hotheaded attitude and the series has been going for over 20 years. Its just an excuse people use to convince themselves that Sora wasnt done dirty in this game. Even Nomure said he doesnt like Sora much and you can fele that he writes him so that he is always weaker than the villains. In Sora's defense, the others dont do better either but he is the maijn character so he accumulates more fails.
