The idea of another world being a video game within a video game had me thinking about this possible thematic ties to Toby Fox’s Deltarune and its use of alternate universes that feature incredibly meta concepts and 4th wall aware characters. However, introducing the concept of “unreality” into Kingdom Hearts and placing the Verum Rex world into that category. This is just begging for some meta shenanigans. Heck, the Yozora fight in Re:Mind could be Sora and Yozora trying to determine whose world IS reality.
