Its a a big opinion that ansem is really MX.But there are some facts that ticked me of.When reading the xehanort Reports its stated that xehanort casted away his body not his heart meaning that whatever heart he had reamained in tact.apprentice xehanort had 3 hearts:MX,terra and eraqus.
Ansem despite being the typical evil guy is quite different from MX.That stems from the fact that he is obsessed with darkness whcih contrary to what many believe its not something MX did.the latter was favoring darkness compared to light only because he wanted balance of the 2 elements.why would ansem be obsessed with darkenss?the answer is eraqus's influence.
eraqus believed dogmatically in light while MX was prefering darkness over the torrent of light that polluted the worlds.So,
obsession with light+favoring darkness=obsessiong with darkness .essantially ansem inherits eraqus dogmatic way of thinking and MX's affiliation with darkness.
Xemnas was left with the body's brain which contains memories of both MX and terra.this in combination with having a mixture of MX and terr'as heart possibly due to being "norted" results in an ambiguus personality:a power hungry xehanort WHO is looking for terra's friends.why he does the latter is unexplained for the last 6 years.
In conclusion neither ansem nor xemnas are pure existences.ansem:MX with eraqus ,while xemanas:MX with terra.
It would be intersting to see ansem the sod turn on MX as a plot twist since most ppl expect terra to influence xemnas.
