Ok so this is my first post on here. This is a fan fiction I wrote for The Nightmare Before Christmas. I wrote it real fast to add some bulk to my final project for my Creative Writing Class. So I would like some feed back/comments on it. I promise to return the favor!

“Halloween was coming!” That is all Jack could think as he strolled through a pumpkin patch. “The Mayor told me to get the best pumpkins this patch had to offer,” Jack thought to himself. Jack continued to look around until he found 5 of the best pumpkins. He loaded up his cart and began to head back to Halloween Town. He entered the woods and ventured closer to home. While mid-way through the woods, a strong gust of wind passed by Jack and gave him the worst chills. There was something about the breeze that caught Jack off guard. It was almost as if the breeze was a warning.
Jack shook his head and continued on. He finally made it through the woods and came to the entrance of Halloween Town. He passed by Zero’s grave, and the ghostly puppy sprung out and greeted Jack as if he had been gone for a year. “Oh, I know boy. I missed you too,” Jack said as Zero hovered around him, licking him. “Let’s get these pumpkins to the Mayor and then we’ll go see Sally.”
Jack and Zero walked to the town center where the Mayor was organizing the decoration of the town. The Mayor had a bullhorn into which he barked out orders to the various towns’ people. The Mayor was so commanding, he forgot the decorators where volunteers, who he had no right ordering around. Then, the Mayor turned around and spotted Jack. He immediately ran over to him, like a lost dog.
“How am I doing Jack?” He asked nervously. “Does everything look alright?”
“Well…” Jack paused, “hmm…Yeah I like it.”
“Oh wonderful!” The Mayor said as he jumped into the air in excitement.
The town was decorated with orange and black lights. Fake cardboard cut outs of ghosts, goblins, and black cats. Plastic spider that ranged in size from very small, to very large, where strategically placed all through the town center. The Mayor and the volunteers actually did ok, but of course the Mayor needed Jack’s approval.
Jack then remembered the pumpkins he brought with him. So he stepped to the side and revealed the pumpkins to the Mayor. The Mayor became elated.
“Oh Jack, this is excellent!” said the Mayor as he picked up each individual pumpkin.
“Good, I’m glad that you like them,” Jack replied with a snicker at the Mayor’s enthusiasm.
“Well, you certainly must help carve them,” The Mayor said it more of an order than a request.
“Really? You want me to?” Jack asked holding back his excitement.
“Certainly! You gathered the pumpkins, you should be in charge of carving them,” the Mayor replied with great confidence.
“Ok,” he said. “But first I need to go see Sally.”
“Of course, of course. I understand. Do tell her I said hello.” The Mayor added as he turned to go back to the decorating.
Jack and Zero then went on their way and headed for Doctor Finklestein’s laboratory, where they were sure Sally would be waiting. As they entered, Jack immediately knew the Doctor was working on a new experiment because of all the hustle and bustle in the room. They watched as Finklestein wheeled from one end of the room to the other as fast as his electric wheelchair would carry him. Sally followed behind him closely holding the supplies he needed.
Excited about seeing Sally, Jack ran over to her and wrapped her in a great big hug. Unknowingly, Jack made Sally drop all of the supplies she held in her hands.
“Jack, you fool!” bellowed the enraged Doctor. “You made Sally drop everything!”
“I am sorry Doctor Finklestein,” Sally said as she dropped to her knees and began picking up the supplies.
“Yeah sorry doc,” Jack said in a very unapologetic way. “But, I have great news! Preparations for Halloween have begun and this year is going to be the best ever!” Jack could not have possibly been more enthusiastic.
“Oh yes, yes. That’s all well and good. But there is more important things going on, Jack,” said the Doctor as he began to return to his work.
“More important than Halloween?” Jack questioned.
“Yes. You see, a new doctor has arrived in town, and he seems suspicious. I think he is trying to upstage me,” said Doctor Finklestein as he wheeled around with a puzzled expression.
“But Doc, you’re the best there is. No one can take you place,” Jack said reassuringly.
“Jack, that is why I need you to go and spy on the new doctor for me. Find out what his name is, and what his latest experiment is,” the doctor spoke without hesitation. “I would go, but I am in the middle of a brand new experiment and I must see it through.”
“Gosh, Doc. I just promised the Mayor I would help decorate Halloween Town,” Jack said as he scratched his skull.
“Jack, you can’t possibly think that decorating is more important than this?” The doctor asked as he turned to face Jack.
“No, it’s not that,” Jack paused, “it’s just I promised and…ok never mind, I’ll do it.”
“Oh thank you Jack,” the doctor said as he turned back around and began working again.
Bummed out, Jack headed for the door. When he walked outside, Sally met him.
“Jack, I know how important Halloween is to you. So, I will go and investigate the new doctor, you go decorate,” Sally said whole-heartedly.
“But Sally, doesn’t the doctor need you?” Jack asked.
“No, I told him I wasn’t feeling well and he gave me the rest of the day off,” Sally answered with a smile.
“Oh Sally, I couldn’t let you do that for me,” before Sally could reply Jack continued, “Really? You would do that for me?”
“Of course Jack,” Sally said, “because I lov…”
“Thanks Honey I really appreciate it,” Jack interrupted as he turned around and began heading towards the town center.
So, as Jack began joyfully carving the spookiest of faces into the pumpkins, Sally headed for the new Doctor’s laboratory. Out side of the huge, run down building were several boxes. Sally’s first instinct was that it was the doctor’s belongings that he hadn’t gotten the chance to unpack. Sally crept closer and closer to the building and she decided to climb on top of the boxes to get a better look into a large window. That is until she saw the bold, red writing across the front of each box that read “DANGER! Do NOT Disturb!”
Unsure of what to do Sally, decided to go ahead and climb on the boxes. She reached the top and was able to get a good look into the building through the 2nd floor window. She saw all kinds of machines, gadgets, and gizmos. She soon realized that this Doctor must have a lot more money than Doctor Finkelstein, because the new doctor had a lot more equipment.
All of a sudden Sally felt something move below her feet. She lifted on foot to see beneath her and all she could see was the plywood the box was made of. Then it began to vibrate. Before long the vibrations became stronger and the box was shaking. The box was shaking so violently Sally started to lose her balance.
“Ahhhhh!” Sally shrieked as she finally lost her balance and began falling to the ground. Sally hit the ground with a loud thud. She looked up at the box she had been standing on and it was not moving. It returned to normal as if nothing ever happened.
“Can I help you?” said a booming voice.
Startled Sally replied, “Oh…umm… I was just…umm…I’m sorry.”
“It’s ok, I guess. I just don’t like snoops,” said the man.
“I am so sorry,” Sally said nervously. “My name is Sally.”
“Hello Sally, my name is Doctor Albert Frankenstein,” said the doctor in a much nicer tone. “You know,” he continued, “if you wanted to see my laboratory all you had to do was ask.”
“Really?” Sally asked.
“Yeah, I will give you the grand tour,” said Doctor Frankenstein as he extended his hand to help her up.
“That would be great,” Sally said accepting his hand.
They walked through each room of the house and Doctor Frankenstein gave her details and information about anything that sparked her interest. Then they walked into what looked like was an old Parlor room that was converted into a laboratory. The roof was painted with detailed, rosy cherubs and elegant lanterns mounted to the walls where covered in cobwebs. As the doctor gave detail after detail about everything, Sally began to feel bad that she was secretly spying on him. But before she could confess her sin. He grabbed her by the wrist.
“Sally, you are beautiful. And I want you to be a part of my next experiment,” the doctor said in somewhat of a menacing voice.
“What do you mean be “apart of” your experiment?” Sally said with a trace of fear in her voice.
“Well, honestly. I want you to be my experiment,” replied the doctor with a cold voice.
“What!” Sally said in horror.
“Yes, I am trying to find a way to turn monsters into humans. You see I come from the real world, where people like you and your little boyfriend Jack, don’t exist. You would be considered freaks and you would become an outcast. So, I want to turn you back to normal,” the doctor said very cocky of his analysis of Sally and the people of Halloween Town.
His statement immediately offended Sally, so she replied, “where do you get off acting like you know me, or Jack, or the town’s people. You just moved here. Besides your definition of normal, may be different than someone else’s. And where I come from we are normal, and you are the freak.”
Enraged by her attitude the Doctor grabbed a hold of her other wrist and slammed her against a wall. Activated by the force, to metal arm braces came forth and restrained Sally’s arms. The doctor began to speak, “Sally, you have no idea what you’ve gotten yourself into. You act as if I am dumb. As if I didn’t know Doctor Finkelstein sent you to spy on me.”
“How do you know Doctor Finkelstein? Because he doesn’t know you,” Sally asked.
“That my dear, would be a lie. The Doctor didn’t tell you he knew me so you would investigate. If he had told you he knew me. And if he told you what I do, you would not have come. I am a genetic specialist I create monsters and I turn people into monsters. And you my dear I am going to save. I am going to turn you into a beautiful human, from the ugly monster you are now!” said the Doctor. He followed his statement with a maniacal laugh.
“How dare you!” Sally exclaimed in anger. “Jack will come for me. He will save me and you will be sorry.”
“Don’t count on you little skeleton man coming anytime soon. He’s too busy carving pumpkins. It seems he cares more about Halloween than he does about you,” said Doctor Frankenstein in a cold heartless way.
“That’s not true,” Sally said in a broken voice as a tear rolled down her cheek. “He will come for me, I know he will….I hope.”

Having a cup of tea.
Dr. Frankenstein, eh? Nice. I like the story. It's very unique. And it gets creative at the end. But there are a few things that bugged me. First of all, you should double space the paragraphs so that it's easier to read. It's hard to follow the lines when they look like they're all in one block. Also, the first sentence has some tense issues, like:
“Halloween was coming!”

'Was' should be 'is', because it hasn't happened yet when Jack said that.

And:
That is all Jack could think as he strolled through a pumpkin patch.

This would be fine if the rest of the story was in present tense, but it's not.

Other than that there were some grammatical errors. I'm looking forward to your next post. ^_^

Yay! I finally get to read one of your stories!
Not quite what I was expecting, and I really liked it. You could actually use this idea for a slightly longer story if you wanted to, although it's really good just like that.
