I will tell no one.
"Stupid bright lights... do they ever go off!?" Tasama was inches from covering his ears, but it would be wiser not to disrespect a Princess by putting on such a show. Regardless of how whiny, weak and useless she was. He would have to shut her up somehow... prehaps a rag tied around her mouth would suffice.
No. He could not even think such things. Her father held his life in the palm of his hand. It would be better not to offend him at all, if possible.
"Just a little further..." Tasama muttered under clenched teeth. He could hardly expect a Princess to be fit for such a journey, but she was the one who decided to come along... and that was 3 months ago.
Was her father worried? Probably not. She has the greatest warrior that had ever lived defending her. What could possibly go wrong?

"Is it just me or is it getting even brighter!?" More a statement than a question, but Tasama felt he had to answer it nonetheless.
"Like I said, it's only a little bit further! You can't expect the Matha'Tasil to be a big black blob!"
Tasama turned to look at her. She had stopped walking. Why? He knew that Mount Yaramat was high, but he had no idea when it ended. He heard a rumour that the Matha'Tasil, the Heart of the Light, was at the top. He also heard that artefacts that extended back even into the last time Darkness ruled over the land also lay scattered near the peak.
However, they were well-guarded by traps and a strange tribe of lizard-men, or so the rumours go.

"Would you come on?" Tasama spoke in as kind a tone as possible, but it still came out as an order. What was he supposed to do? The bloody girl was lying flat on the side of the mountain! They were less than a mile away from the Matha'Tasil! He could feel the energy radiating from it! He would not stop for camp now!
"Oh, in the name of all that is Dark, you go on!" The Princess yelled back at him. To be honest, he was fully prepared to.
However, he could not break his promise, or his head would be presented to the King in no time at all, and it didn't matter who he was. He would not let this girl be the death of him, regardless of how tiring she became.

Hoisting her onto his shoulder, Tasama didn't get five steps before receiving a boot in the groin and a slap in the face. It wasn't enough to fell him, but it was enough to make him drop that wretch of a girl on her face and go stomping on to the Matha'Tasil on his own while she screamed bloody murder behind his back. No man living or dead could listen to that... that whore for more than five minutes before attempting to rip her throat out.
How in the word could her father stand her!?
No matter. He had a job to do, with the girl or not. The promise could wait.

It didn't take him another few minutes to reach the location of the Matha'Tasil before being scorched by an insanely bright light. How on Earth was he supposed to get near that thing, never mind touch it! It could melt his arm before he even got within reaching distance... well, probably.
Rolling his eyes and bracing himself, Tasama charged at the Heart of the Light, ignoring most of the pain and screaming down the rest. No amount of money was worth what he was going through. When he got back, King Dasiasis would owe him a land of his own!

As soon as his hand slipped into the pulsating ball of holy light, the Matha'Tasil seemed to grow smaller. As soon as this thing was destroyed, the Followers of the Light would suffer a serious blow, if not a finishing blow. The land would belong to the Darkness! Not only that, but he would be filthy ric..!
"Wha..?" The ball began swelling up again. It grew larger again... he couldn't feel his hand... his arm... everything was burning! He was burning up! It was just inches from his face! It wasn't supposed to be this way! What the hell was happening!?!

------------------

As it turns out, that was not the real Matha'Tasil, but a trap. Where would the fun be in a good 'ol quest if it was over in 3 months?
Anyway, here is the story for those of you who did not read the full thing or didn't understand it

------------------

Darkness rules pretty much all, but can't seem to get rid of the Light. No matter how often they get beaten back, they always come back with fresh troops and high spirits. An attack on the Palace of the Kings of Old itself raised awareness on how powerful the Light was becoming again. The only hope to seal away the Light forever and to allow Darkness to truly reign was to destroy the source of all Light. The Matha'Tasil.

Of course, not a single Dark creature knew its location. The Lisat'Ahtam, the Heart of Darkness, was hidden somewhere in the Palace of the Kings of Old. However, none but those of the Light knew the location of the Matha'Tasil. Kidnappings were attempted and prisoners were taken, but none told of the location of the Source of all Good. Rumour was it was located somewhere close to the peak of Mount Yaramat, but that seemed too strange.

Yaramat had been a stronghold of the Dark forces years ago and its peak was unreachable by those doomed to walk the Earth. However, it was the only place that seemed at least slightly credible. There had been Light movement in that region for some time, and Dark Sorcerers constantly claimed that whenever they approached the mountain, the Good that echoed from it nearly drove them berserk. Therefore, they had to send someone strong in might, not in magic. They would send the greatest warrior the Darkness had ever known. They would send Tasama.

However, King Dasiasis could not trust the man as far as he could throw him, so he was always sent to the furthest reaches of the world to fight battles against those who dared to rebel against the Darkness. It would take time to summon him back. However, that was not all.
Princess Harriene, sole daughter of the King, wished to see the Matha'Tasil with her own two eyes. Therefore, she would accompany Tasama to the Matha'Tasil. Unfortunately, Mount Yaramat was quite some distance away. It would take months before they would reach their destination, and all the while, the Light would be preparing for another attack...

------------------

Sorry that was so damn long. Oh well, what can I do now? Why, present the rules of course!

-No Power-Playing or God-Modding.
-To be illiterate is a must. I will not tolerate a single one-liner from anyone. It angers me to no end.
-Cursing is allowed and, on occasion, encouraged.
-Romance is also allowed, but nothing hardcore.
-I won't enforce punctuation too much as I rarely get many chances on the internet. However, I don't want this RP flooded in thoughtless replies. Think out what you say. I will say that once.
-If you aren't having fun, then leave. No sense in continuing if it bores you. Just... warn me first.
-No killing others off without their permission. I have no say in that matter. However, if they leave the RP, kill away.
-Be sensible. Please.

------------------

Now for the template...

Name: (No Chaos or Brian's. Make your names fit in).
Age:
Gender:
Appearance: (Pics allowed, but not encouraged).
Profession: (Sorcerer, Warrior, Beast Trainer or Knight).
Alignment: (Light or Darkness. No Switzerland here, I’m afraid).
Weapon: (Sorcerers can't hold Buster Swords, no matter how much you wish they could).
Transportation: (Or you’re Pet, depending on your profession).
Bio:

Add whatever else you may wish. The story is as flexible as you want to make it. Just... nothing outrageously stupid like a God who has come down from Heaven to go on a killing spree.

If you find some mega-flaw in the story, PM me.

------------------

Heres the basic story, depending on what side you choose.

Be a bad guy: Tasama has been incapacitated, and so will not be appearing in the story for a while. Therefore, the King, who received word via his Sorcerer Daughter, is going to set-up another party who will this time search for clues as to the real location of the Matha'Tasil. He will also be gathering an army to combat the imminent threat of a Light army.

Be a good guy: The Light have known for quite some time that the Dark have been searching for the Matha'Tasil, and so have laid traps in many places to mask it's true hiding place. A small group of people are also intent on making things as difficult as possible for the Dark to find the Matha'Tasil. The Light is also preparing to do battle with the Dark, but has not as of yet chosen where to attack...

------------------

I will post my own template once a few people join. So, please join.

I will tell no one.
Name: Tasama Bethsworn.

Age: 37.

Gender: Male.

Appearance: Appears as some kind of High Lord at first glance due to his trailing black cloak and golden armour. However, in order to maintain as much flexibility as possible, he keeps the armour to a minimum, instead opting for the clothing of a Nobleman.

A Black Silk shirt with delicate patterns covering it, with the shirt itself almost entirely covered by a Black Silk jacket left unbuttoned. He wears light plate armour for his elbows and gaunlets, both coloured Black and Gold.
His lower body appears much more armoured than the rest. Black Silk Shorts reaching down to his lower thigh and a pair of woollen stockings help to keep him warm while plated armour protects his knees and his lower leg. Heavy Black leather boots help to protect his feet.

Tasama is by no means a handsome man, but his burly figure is enough to swoon any woman. His deep blue eyes give one the impression of a kind-hearted person, as does his carelessly long brown hair. He also wears a pair of earrings, one black and one white. None but he know the significance of these earrings.

Profession: Warrior.

Alignment: Darkness.

Weapon: A Spear. Unadorned except for a small blue gem tied close to the blade with a piece of string.

Transportation: None.

Bio: Often hailed as the greatest warrior of all time, Tasama Bethsworn had become nothing less than a legend after the Battle of the Black Dawn over 5 years ago. However, that battle left its marks on Tasama. Gone are the days when he followed the orders of his King, never questioning. Gone are the days when he was as cheerful as they came. He has become nothing more than a tired veteran of war, eager to end his suffering.
Trying to rid himself of the dark cloud that stalked him wherever he went, he married a young woman by the name of Meleda. However, less than a month after the marriage, the poor girl was murdered in cold blood by a jealous old crone who had, to the end of her days, claimed that the heart of the greatest warrior in the world belonged to her. Soon after the death of his wife, the old crone was beheaded.
Now with the death of a young woman on his hands, Tasama left the Kingdom of Darkness and fled to an island haven, to be summoned by the King for whenever e had a mind. Only when promised something in return did Tasama ever take heed of what was sent, and even then he usually still refused.
However, he found it difficult to turn away ten million Gold pieces. The only problem was that the King insisted that payment would be due as soon as he carried out his mission: destroy the Heart of Light.

OOC: I'll start the RP as soon as I can tomorrow. Probably about Noon.

I can only express puzzlement, which borders on al
Name: Harriene “Riene”
Age: 18
Gender: female

Appearance: Riene is short, slender, and fine-boned with ankle length ebony hair that she hasn’t cut since birth. She has flawless ivory skin, delicate features, and large heavily-lashed eyes the color of silver. Riene is heart-breakingly beautiful and she absolutely knows it.

Riene is royalty so anything she wears goes. On special occasions, she will wear fine dresses for balls and the like, but most of the time she sticks to black breeches and a white long sleeved blouse or other simply designed and usually typically male outfits. That sort of attire invariably ended up being more shocking for a princess to wear, so it was more fun for Rien that way.

Profession: Sorceress

Alignment: Darkness

Weapon: Two silver athames.

Transportation: She can slip through shadows (but only to places she knows). She has two ravens for pets and they are her eyes and ears out in the world.

Bio: Riene is the spoiled daughter of King Dasiasis. All her life she gotten what she wanted, when she wanted it, perhaps to compensate for the fact that her mother died in childbirth, but most likely just because she is a princess. Instead of making her happy, this has only made her bored and a bored sorceress princess is not a good person to be around.

While she was growing up, Riene would take up new hobbies every few weeks, then she’d get bored and drop them or someone would do something to make her angry. If something came too easily to her, she’d usually stop. This happened with some frequency. Riene never could really get the hang of physical fighting though (She bullied some knights into teaching her), but then everyone was too afraid to go after her because she was Dasiasis’s only child and if they had so much as given her a scratch, they would likely have been imprisoned and later killed. It was too frustrating to try to train because no matter how much she screamed at them, she couldn’t get them to strike at her, so she quickly gave that up.

Riene is very intelligent and manipulative and generally very cold-hearted. She epitomizes the cliché of “ice princess.” It’s difficult to determine which she is more renowned for, her beauty or her bitchy attitude. Sonnets have been written about her eyes and she once reduced one of her suitors to tears in under a minute after meeting him. She simply has no intention of getting married and in effect losing the throne that is rightfully hers to her husband.

There are only two things that have been able to hold Riene’s attention for long, sorcery and stories of The Matha'Tasil. When she showed that she had a knack for sorcery, Riene’s father brought the best sorcerer’s to be her tutors. Most of them left quickly, she was after all a brat, but the most obstinate meanest one, Ygradsil, stayed on and eventually it was so fascinating for her that she forgot to be bratty. Ygradisil didn’t treat her like a princess and this attitude was very refreshing. It was from Ygradisil that Riene first heard about Matha’Tasil, the heart of light. Riene didn’t know why it fascinated her so, perhaps it was the attraction of opposites, but when she first heard about it, she knew she wanted it.

It was perhaps the only thing that she had never been granted by her father. He wanted it destroyed. Riene merely wanted to keep it, even though she knew what a danger it and the people of the light were to her father’s reign and her legacy. When Dasiasis sent Tamasa out to find and destroy the heart of light, it was easy enough to convince her father to let her come along. Though she wished it was because he knew she could handle herself, it was she could secretly admit to herself because of Tamasa’s reputation. He was thought to be the best warrior in the land. When Riene was eleven years old, she’d had a girlish crush on him… of course like everything else that had only lasted five minutes, she had things to do and he was after all an ancient… he had to be at least in his late twenties, maybe even older.

When Riene met the warrior again as they left to find the heart of light, she found him a boring and condescending asshole. To be fair, which Riene rarely was, she had been having a bad day at their reintroduction… and was at her brattiest. It was very clear that Tamasa deserved any strife on the journey though she could give him and with little to amuse herself, Riene made a sport out of annoying Tasama as much as humanly possible. Riene had always liked to see how quickly she could make people snap… and she had to admit, Tasama had good self-control.

All in all it was a pretty miserable three months, though she did love getting out of the castle and traveling, even if it was a tiring and Tamasa was a big dumb oaf bodyguard that wouldn’t let her do anything fun along the way.

Eventually they drew near the source of the light… a mere mile away when Riene felt that something was wrong. Whatever it was they were following, she could feel deep down that it was not Matha'Tasil. The day had already been off to a bad start with Riene needling Tamasa as much as she could and him about to finally snap. The light was also bothering her quite a bit. Still, maybe if he hadn’t manhandled her (she didn’t like to be touched) and tried to carry her the rest of the way when she paused and sat down to try and figure out what was going on, Riene would have told him her suspicions about the freakish light. But no. Tamasa picked her up to drag her on. The only fitting thing to do was of course to kick him where it would hurt the most and slap him hard in the face once he dropped her. He was lucky he wasn’t now a toad. Finally fed up, Tamasa did go off to the heart of light, not listening to her when she yelled some very key adjectives about his personality after him along with the slightest mention of the mistake he was making.

Riene found out that they had been following a fake heart of light for three months, she didn’t even know what had happened with Tamasa. Riene did know that she had to inform her father. It likely meant that the people of light were on the move. Someday though, she’d find the heart of light, Matha'Tasil and she’d find a way to keep it for her own instead of letting her father destroy it. There had to be other ways to defeat the people of the light who were plotting against him.

OOC: I hoped for at least one person to join the Light side... oh well. Some may yet still join.

IC: How many days, weeks or months had passed since had last opened his eyes? Hell if he knew.
Darkness so great greeted his eyes that Tasama almost thought they were still closed. Quickly, his eyes adjusted to the darkness. How in the name of Darkness had he ended up in a cave?
Struggling to pick himself up, he quickly dropped himself again, yelping in pain. How had he been injured? Did the Princess hit him from behind?
Suddenly, it came flooding back to him. A bright light engulfed him... it singed every hair in his body right down to his skin and left his clothes in rags. He had blacked out as soon as it reached his face. The sweat that glistened from his face and hands from his hike up the mountain evaporated in less than an instant. In fact, it was a wonder, nay a miracle, he still lived.
Speaking of which, who had saved him from the Light? Wait, could it have been...

"You have got to be kidding me..." That harlot daughter of King Dasiasis... who else could it has been? The 'Lizard-men' of the mountain would hardly pick him up and nurse him back to health.
Well, the 'nurse' part was unlikely from anyone who served the Dark, never mind the Princess of the Dark. More likely she added to his injuries with multiple kicks to the head and a knee in the groin. That said he did feel a headache coming on...
Instinctively, he reached for his head, and recoiled in surprise. He should have expected it. The Light had transformed his clothes into little more than the clothing of a beggar. It was foolish to think that it would leave his hair simply because he liked it the way it was. Baldness was a definite no-no.
"Damn Light-followers... they will pay..!" Struggling again to his feet, the anger Tasama had boiling up in him was still not enough to get him up even on his knees. This was pathetic.

"Princess!" Tasama called. He needed a few questions answered.
One being: how did a scrawny shrimp her size manage to carry him into a cave?
Another one being: How long was he out for?
The most important being: Was he still getting paid?

OOC: Slightly uncertain about how much time has passed here so please correct me if I am wrong so I can edit :). BIC.

Riene strolled through the training yard, looking right and left as the knights practiced. She wanted a look at those who would fight those rebels of the light. So far, she wasn't particularly impressed. A cool smile graced her lips. She knew she was distraction. She made most of them uneasy. That was good. They'd have to deal with all sorts of situations, they could deal with the presence of a princess and they'd have to get used to it. Riene would be going with them of course. Her father didn't know this yet though. She wanted to find Matha'Tasil. Leaning back against the fence, she continued to watch the soldiers as she though back to three days ago, remembering how close they'd gotten... or maybe not that close at all...

Idiot warrior.

Tamasa was a dumb oaf, who'd just blundered unthinkingly on without even looking for traps. They had heard all sorts of stories about those lizard people too. He may have thought he was indestructible, but he was wrong. Of course, Riene couldn't be certain that he was dead at all. She had eventually gone up there when that flash had brightened and found him scorched and unconscious and at least dead looking. It's not like she actually cared to feel for a pulse. He deserved what he got and there were more important things to do, like inform her father about what had happened and about the fact that this clearly was not Matha'Tasil. The bright light that had shone over them the final length of their journey had disappeared as if it had never even existed.

Riene's return trip from Yaramat was much swifter then the journey to the false heart of light. A short walk through the shadows, no more. She was a sorceress after all. It didn't work the other way around though which was a pity. It had been a complete waste of three months.

Well maybe not a complete waste...

Before leaving she cast one final smirk down at Tamasa, if he lived from those wounds, maybe he'd become the wife of one of the lizard people. That would be an amusing end for the man once thought to be the greatest warrior in the land. Though the thought of his head on a pole was almost and equally pleasant prospect.

Riene was drawn back into the present by a particularly loud crash of steel on steel. Smirking she withdrew the sword brom the scabard she had at her belt. Part of the reason to came was to see if any of them were competant, but as she was going to go after the light to, she once again wanted to try and learn the sword. She didn't want to have to rely on her sorcery all the time. She could practice during the journey as well. The warriors of the light would be attacking soon, so it was hardly the time to remain idle. Her father was even more frantic to find the heart of light and crush it. Riene thought that unnecessary, but her father need not know that.

The soldiers were taking a brief break, but they kept casting nervous glances in her direction. Steeling her back, she walked over and quirked her eyebrow slightly at the group.

"So... which of you "knights" is going to practice with me?"

They had little choice. Someone would have to and if they held back, well they'd just get cut up now, wouldn't they? She didn't mind getting a few bruises... her father would, but she was just interested in learning this and nothing else. If the knight did a good job, she might be kind and not tell him which had been helping her to train.

Let's see uh... ACHOO! Huh? Where am I now?
(ooc: Let's see... I'll be a part of light. But I'll create several characters to be on light... since this rp has been severely deprived of it. I'm not as literate as you guys but, I'll try my best!)

Here is my main guy.

Name: Keele Weissheit

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Appearance: He has long white hair that has been tied in a ponytail. His build is unknown, because of his clothes. He is quite handsome, but he is always so modest about it.

He is dressed in normal beige astrologist's robes that are also overlapped by a darker brown overvest. He also has several jeweled bracelets and a bag of magical catalysts and supplies.

Profession: Sorcerer/Astrologist

Alignment: Light

Weapon: A Zodiac Staff, which has a beautiful Ameythyst as the catalyst.

Transportation: None

Bio: Born in a noble family within the Darkside at first. He always loved talking about astrology when he was young, but was exiled at age 12 for so. There he met up with a group of people that were exiled just for the same reason, then he learned more advanced astrological magic, which uses the powers of space. There around years later, he meets a young girl named Rinny, who has clung to him for his kindness to her. He has fully mastered the astral arts and has joined a group of rebels and the leader Odessa and serves as the magic expert.

(ooc: Would this work? If it didn't then I can fix it! I'll add in more profiles later as the story moves on.)

OOC: Seems fine to me. Yes, your welcome to join. I plan to make another character to use after I send Tasama on his merry way off to the Palace.
Oh, and about 3 days have passed. Any longer and Tasama would be... well, kinda dead.

IC: Had she... had she abandoned him up here!? That bitch! She would pay... oh, she would pay. He would stagger the whole way back to the Palace of the Kings of Old if he had to. That... that Siren would pay for this...
He now had more than enough energy to struggle to his feet. At least that village bicycle had the heart to carry his spear into this cave as well.
After finally pushing himself up, Tasama picked up the spear and fastened it to its hold on his back. At least the Light hadn’t destroyed it.
The cave seemed empty, but Tasama had no intention of exploring it. Nor did he have any intention of remaining on this mountian than he had to. He would first need to find some water and food. He would then be capable of making his way back to the Palace... and to her.

About a kilometre down the mountain, Tasama had spotted a small stream that ran down the mountainside. He had used it once before while hiking up in the company of the Princess.
He would have to make his way out of this cave and down to the stream before he collapsed from dehydration.
Struggling out of the cave entrance (which wasn't that hard to find), Tasama stared around him, suddenly realizing how barren and empty this mountain actually was.
Snow was non-existant on this mountain. The taint of Darkness left on it doomed it to forever remain black and covered in shadow. The occasional trace of life could be found, such as footprints and carcasses.
However, neither he nor the Princess had spotted a single living creature on their trek up Mount Yaramat, but he had the constant feeling he was being watched. Even now, he felt the eyes of a thousand different creatures burning into the back of his head. He tried to shake it off as paranoia, but the feeling always came back...

"Hmm?" Tasama glanced to his left. Had something moved? He was exhausted, so his eyes may have been playing tricks on him. Nonetheless, he would have to remain alert moving back down this mountain. He had shut himself away from it on the journey up, but now he was beginning to feel it; there was an evil presence on this mountain.
A presence that seemed to have existed here for time beyond reckoning. A presence that, if angered, would destroy all in it's path, Darkness or Light. He would have to be careful. He would not allow himself to die. Not until he had at least extracted some form of revenge on the Princess...

Tasama more rolled down the mountain than walked, but it seemed to get him down the mountain faster, regardless of how much it hurt. Jagged rocks jabbed and scratched him. Boulders lying in his path collided with his back and head. Hell, even the spear fastened to his back gave more than a few problems.
He managed to make it the full way down to the spot where he crossed paths with the stream. The water looked much less than wholesome. Flowing down a mountain seemingly possessed by evil, the water could hardly be expected to be good for you. Who am I to be picky? He thought to himself as he half-dragged and half-staggered towards the sweet, sweet water.
He spent several minutes washing off the dirt, blood and grime from his body as well as coughing up more than a litre of water and swallowing over 4. Whatever state that stream was in, Tasama had made it much, much worse.

Name: Sygna Thorn
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Appearance: Black hair down to her shoulder blades. Ussually pulled back in a loose ponytail. Icey cold blue eyes. A wolf claw hangs about her neck on strong cord, she wears a well fitted black shirt with flared out sleeves. The flare starts at her elbow. Her belt holds her shurikin and throwing knives and her brass knuckles. she wears capre like pants that acctually have many pockets, they could hold more weapons, or treats for Sumatri. These pants are a deep purple. Her calves are back except for some combat like boots.
Profession: Beast Trainer
Alignment: Darkness
Weapon: Brass knuckles for close combat, shurikin, small daggers, and she also has some cat like claws up her sleeves.
Transportation: Sumatri ,a giant black tiger, it's stripes seem to be a darker purple so they hardly stand out against the rest of its body. It's eyes are an icey blue. One is clouded signaling it is blind in that eye but its other senses are so tuned that it doesn't really need that eye.
Bio:

Sygna was bor on the side of the lights but she was kidnapped at a very young age and broguht to the dark. She hardly noticed the change she went through as she went from a light to a dark warrior. A powerful Lord took her in and raised her himself. He gave her Sumatri when she was four. Sumatri himself was only a cub. She and Sumatri have never left eachothers side since they are so close. Sygna neverhad any true friends so thats why she bonded with the giant black tiger so well.

When Sygna was ten the castle they lived in was raided by the lights and they took her father by suprise, they killed him and Sygna went on a rampage. Sumatri, feeling her rage, grabbed her by the back of her clothes and tossed her on his back before he lunged at any lights coming near them. He took down many of them before he acctually got an injury but he kept fighting till all the lights were dead. She bandaged his wounds and wept at the death of her father, she didn't remember her true father. They stayed at that castle for one night before they moved on. She has been traveling for quite awhile now, she really hasn't received any orders from higher people like the king, she hasn't come in contact with many and has been known as the Silent Beast Trainer of the Dark. For that was what she was. Sygna has a deep brooding anger for the lights and has killed any that have come across her path. Sumatri shares a bond with her and it is like they can speak through their minds. Like they are twins. Sumatri may be old of age, but his breed of tiger lives to really old ages but they are rare, it is said he is the laast of his kind. Sumatri may have lived for so many years, he should have died, but he is still like an adolecent tiger for his kind can live to be thousands upon thousands of years old.

Let's see uh... ACHOO! Huh? Where am I now?
(ooc: Okay, first here is Rinny's profile first.

Name: Rinny Weissheit (She dubbed herself that last name)

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Appearance: A young girl that looks kind of strange and has purple hair in pigtails. Her eyes are a light purple as well. She is dressed in a navy blue giant robe, that she looks like she can barely fit in and wears jester shoes.

Profession: Sorcerer

Alignment: Light

Weapon: A small Oak Wand

Transportation: A broom, but it doesn't go very fast.

Bio: An orphan girl who was picked up by Keele when she was 11. There she stayed with him and all the other mages, training in astral magic as well. She still only knows beginner stuff, like Star Bolts. She soon follows Keele to join the rebels and serves as his right hand-woman, despite her age.)

"No, you have to synchronize your body movements with the energy of the spell. Otherwise, it will just hit any random target."

Keele was explaining to another trainee magician on how to use Water Magic. So far, there were few natural magicians, just several people who think magic would make them more powerful. This annoyed Keele alot, but there was hope in a few people.

He was standing in the middle of a plain just outside the rebel encampment. Odessa had assigned him to be the magic expert for the army while she was off coordinating strategies with her strategist, Alphonse. It had been a while, and yet the location of the Matha'Tasil has not been revealed to anyone yet. He wanted to protect the orb with his life, for the kindness everyone in the light has shone him, despite where he came from.

"As long as there's darkness, there is a glimmer of light. And as long as there's light, there is darkness." A voice said.

(ooc: I was a little confused upon reading this, but this will work right? It might take me a while to get the storyline though. But this is good right?)

It was as Riene thought. None of the knights could refuse, but there were also none were willing to actually give her a real training. They were all a bunch of cowards. It was pathetic. She strode over to the knight that had lost the draw and worked with her for the past hour and was now kneeling on the ground in weariness. As Riene explained to him, she was not yet skilled with the sword, so it was likely that if he tried to hold back and not hit her with his, that hers might slip anyway, even if she wasn’t trying to hit him. And it slip it did… many many times. That was the excuse anyway. Riene knew what she was doing each time that sword had cut into the knight’s flesh. It was after all easy enough to stick the end into someone and cut them until they bled. If he had sucked it up and actually given her some useful sword instruction, he would not be wounded and bleeding everywhere now.

Despite her anger and frustration, Riene hadn’t killed him. His wounds were strictly superficial... so far. She had zero tolerance for incompetant twits who were too afraid of her father to be useful. Circling the knight she pressed her athame against his throat and looked down at him with a cold, mocking expression.

“Stupid boy, you think I won’t kill you?”

She used the term boy to be insulting, he was at least five years older then she was. The man flinched slightly, though he should be prepared for death at all times. He was after all a knight and with the people of the light attacking, these were times of war. She did give him credit for not blubbering though. She had reduced men to tears for much less. Taking the athame away from his throat and re-sheathing it, she knelt beside him and lifted her hand to caress his cheek, before grabbing his chin and forcing him to look at her.

“If you hold back in a real battle you’ll die. I am a clumsy fighter and I seek to get better. If you had tried and I solely relied on swordplay, you could have killed me ten times over, but were too afraid to even lift the sword. I was simply asking to be trained, by any of you. Continue this way and you’re going to die… you all will. Maybe I should end your meaningless pathetic life now to at least teach you one final lesson?”

The man tried to look away, but Riene’s grip tightened on his face.

“Look at me."

The man did as he said, it would have been incredibly stupid for him to do otherwise. And fortunately for him he wasn't quite that dumb.

"You’re tired and wounded. It didn’t have to be this way.” She caressed his cheek once more than slapped him hard across the face before she got to her feet.

“Or maybe it did. Next time be a man and raise your damn sword.”

She smirked and picked up the practice sword she had been using and tossed it to one of the soldiers. Then she walked out of the arena without a backward glance. She was growing impatient. Even though it had only been three days, she was eager to get going again, to seek out the light.

Koji stood next to a castle wall as he watched all the others battling. He was a loyal and strong knight and refused to even train with anybody who had not given him a run for his money, so to speak. He was growing bored however and decided to go off and eat since he wasn't in the mood to watch some of the other knights train and point out every single time a knight left himself open for attack. Koji then noticed that the princess had left yet another knight at her feet.
Amusing, wasn't it soon-to-be queen bitch

I will tell no one.
OOC: Oh, another person joined. I'll leave one more spot open. As soon as it is filled (or when the story advances to a certain spot) I will close the spot.

IC: All he had to keep him going was the bitter sweet taste of revenge. He had tasted it before, and it had left him hungry. Hungry for more. That old crone deserved a much worse fate than a simple beheading. A year or so in the dungeon below the Palace would be much more filling.
But now the revenge would be on a much larger scale. He wanted the complete and utter destruction of the Light and an everlasting punishment to be bestowed upon the woman who had left him for dead in a cave... if she even did that!
Unfortunately, revenge did not fill you up in the flesh. He would need to eat, and eat soon. Lucky for him, he had the feeling he was being watched. He could only hope that whatever it was would taste nice...

""Now where do you think your going in that sssssstate?" It was about time it revealed itself. However, it spoke English. No Deer for lunch after all...
Turning his head slowly and fixing a menacing expression on his face, Tasama faced his pursuer with the eyes of a predator... only once they lay to rest upon the shape of the creature standing before him; they readjusted themselves into an expression of surprise.
"So... you do exist." It sounded like such a cliché, but Tasama hardly cared. Not many rumours spoke true, so it was surprising to find that these lizard-men existed. Only thing was... this seemed to be a lizard-woman.
The woman seemed surprised to hear such words from his mouth as her eyes jutted up into her forehead, but held her composure nonetheless.
Although he couldn't get a good look at her, he could tell by the slender frame and the tone of her voice that it was most definitely a female. However, he could also tell that this lizard creature was most definitely not human.
It looked like a human body coated in green slime, to be truthful. Scales also lined specific parts of her body, namely the head and the face. She seemed to be clothless, but didn't seem even slightly abashed.
"You ssssshould not be up ssssso early, my lord." She hissed, advancing closer. Tasama tried to be careful not to react in a violent manner, but allowed his left hand to stray for his spear. He would not take any chances, regardless of what she said.
"What do you mean by 'lord'?" Tasama inquired, trying hard to ignore the perfectly shaped body of this creature. Now was certainly no time to let his hormones get involved. She could quite easily swing for him right now, but he would be ready for her. However, if emotions got in the way, they could-
"You are Gratheid, are you not?" The lizard woman cocked her head to one side, her expression a puzzled one. However, it was nothing compared to the one Tasama wore on his face at the same time.

Riene was almost out of the training yard when she saw a knight, leaning back lazily against the castle wall near the exit with an amused expression on his face. As he pushed away from the wall, perhaps to leave she paused in front of him giving him a cold look.

“Something amusing?” She might have ignored him, but she was already in a supremely furious and not to mention bitchy mood for the way that the last hour had gone… and indeed the way things were shaping up in general. Not even the thought of Tamasa the prisoner of lizard people or dead was enough to quell her dark mood. Admittedly, that wasn’t too surprising. She generally just took news of people’s bad end with the acknowledgement that it was most assuredly deserved and instantly forgot about it. Maybe it was different since she’d been there and knew that there was a slight chance that he was alive and just peachy. A slim chance of course, but still… perhaps she had been hasty. She’d send her ravens, Hugin and Munin out to Yaramat to see if there was any sign of the stupid knight. Riene didn’t like not knowing.

For now though she focused on the knight in front of her, her eyebrow quirked slightly as she awaited his response. She was just itching for the chance to turn someone into something foul. This one would do as well as any.

I will tell no one.
Gratheid Labaerde. Tasama's oldest and most trusted friend. He had fought well at the Battle of the Black Dawn, but alas, had fallen that day like so many others. However, they never retrieved the body. Even the memory of that day pained Tasama.
His old wounds and battle-scars would suddenly burn him if he ever remembered that day, but not this time. Hope flared up inside him instead of the usual agony he experienced. His friend... could he still be alive?
"Grathied... do you mean Gratheid Labaerde?" Tasama pressed closer to the woman, an eager glint in his eye. The woman seemed to back away, fumbling for something behind her back. Suddenly realizing that his advance had been misunderstood, Tasama stopped right where he was.
He would not scare her away now. Gratheid... could still be alive?
"P-please," Tasama stammered. It was hard now to keep his emotions in check. He was the greatest warrior of all time, yet here he was, ready to blubber his heart out to some miserable wretch who had just once mentioned the name of an old friend. No matter how much he missed him, no thing should be able to bring a man of his caliber to his knees. Nothing should be able to bring him to his knees.

Gathering himself together again, Tasama readdressed the lizard-woman, who by now was looking as abashed as she should be, and calmed his emotions. "Was he here? If so, how long ago... and what for?"
The woman, obviously upset that he was not actually Gratheid, answered slowly. "He departed just a few months ago. He told me he was here on some errand or another, but wouldn't tell me what it was for. He kept telling me to do what I could to prevent a man named 'Tasama' from reaching the 'trap'. After that, he ran off back to something he called the 'Matha'Tasil', whatever it is. Do you kn- watch your step!"
Tasama felt like he was falling backwards, but managed to bring himself back to reality just in time. The cliffs of Mount Yaramat were steep, and right now Tasama wished he could hurl himself from the very highest of them all, and take all his misery with him.
"Do you... do you mean Gratheid... he serves the Light?"
He didn't really want to hear the answer. It would merely confirm what he already knew to be true. His wounds... were they burning?
They burned… he felt dizzy… the lizard-woman… was saying something… what..?

Darkness rushed over him. Everything faded out of sight... he felt like he was falling, but not off a cliff. Instead, he felt like he was falling out of his own head.

"No, not really. I'm gonna go eat now so if ya don't mind..." Koji said walking off and leaving her standing.
He wasn't in the mood to even talk with her. Nor was he in the mood to fall a victim of the cycle everyone feared. Fight and be executed by the king, or not fight and be possibly killed by her. The thought of leaving the princess high and dry amused him furthur as he knew curiousity Killed her.

Riene glowered at the departing knight. No one, no one walked away from her and got away with it. It was even more irritating because he seemed amused about it. He not only didn't answer her, but had the gall to be pleased about it as he walked away. Riene was not about to simply let that stand. She was still half tempted to use her powers of sorcery and turn the impertinent knight into an insect. No, Riene decided. He wasn't worth the effort. Riene did plan on making him miserable for a few hours or so though and after a moment she called after him.

"Pity. I am afraid you will have to wait. You have scout duty." Riene glanced at the master of arms, he nodded frantically in agreement. Good little boy. Though it was atypical for knights to even have what would be a common soldier's jobs. Everyone was on edge because of the Light and in order to insure the safety of the kingdom, knights were sent out as well. They were more skilled then the average soldier. Riene wasn't a general, but she had authority over anyone she wanted, save her father... and she had him wrapped around her little finger. Riene was being a vindictive bitch, but she didn't care. If they weren't going to play her game, then they couldn't play at all... and the stakes were infinitely more serious. She did have reasons for her actions though and she was testing the knight to see if he was yet another coward amongst the ranks. She loved to put people in a catch-22. If he simply agreed to the duty, he was a coward and a syccophant... and if he didn't, he was disobedient to the crown princess. It was marvelous.

Riene waited, her head inclined slightly as she watched the knight, her expression carefully neutral as she awaited his response.

OOC: Quite honestly, that post was crap. Minimum detail was put in, the grammar is enough to make someone weep. Hell, you weren’t even inventive. A Fox from Naruto? I haven't even watched Naruto before in my life and I am supposed to know what that looks like? You have some time to edit that post. If it is still as bad as that, then I will pretend you never even posted.
