the new addition to a soon to be known as "Halo killer dynasty"

Socom 3's mysterious multiplayer mode, is still under tight wraps, there is currently no real information on it, except for the fact that there will be multiplayer. The good news is that Socom 3 will finally feature a big, vibrant single-player campaing that, according to Zipper, is on par with the series legendary multiplayer mode. Based on hands-on time with te single-player portion of the game, the streamlined control scheme is a welcome gameplay enhancement. Shooting, straging, and ordering buddies around via the one-button "go to" command was almost effortless. Though the PS2's analog sticks aren't ideal for precision-based shotting titles, sniping at far-off foes in Socom still felt tight and responsive. But the intro of new drivable vehicles, ranging from heavily armored APC's and water craft to battered pick up trucks, added the most thrilling gameplay twist. Halo fans will definitely approve. Swimming was another welcome addition and factored heavily into the stealth tactics.
Thanks to DVD streaming tech. Socom 3 will have tons of lush details like realistic structues, dense underbrush, and reflective water within it's environments. Even with the huge visual upgrade, Socom 3's enviroments are a staggering five to six times more massive than Socom 2's levels. oin the sound side, the designers recorded the roar of a minigun for 100 percent audio authneticity.

Zipper is particulalry proud of the new weapon modification system, which enables players to strap flashlights, pistol grips, suppressors, grenade launchers, and various scopes and image enhancers onto their weapon of choice. If you get too greedy hoever, you'll lose maneuverability. Between the 21 mods and the hefty arsenal (over 30 guns) Socom 3 should ultimately support nearly 1000 different weapon configs. With those kind of numbers, it's no wonder Sony and Zipper are quite confident that Socom 3 will change the face of PS2 action this fall...and give master chief quite a run for his money

~brought to you by A-D, I will be posting as much information about this as possible, if you have something to add...post it for us, I'll bring this back to life for new information, because any non-idiot loves Socom
