I new here and wasn't sure if to put this thread here anyway theres been debate whether Sora merges with Roxas at the end of the intro or the after the battle in TWTNW. I think it was at the end of the intro where did he go then for the rest of the game unless he fell into a plothole

I was a bit confused after I saw the mini fight between the two in the world that never was, but seeing as Donald and Goofy can't see Roxas I'm not entirely sure what the hell is going on in that scene.

i was confused about that too. how did roxas merge with sora if the one he merged with was in a computer world while the real one was left untouched in the pod in the real world.

I think it happened when Roxas saw Sora (so sad, I cried!). Since Roxas said, "Looks like my summer vacation, is over." I think that means that Roxas isn't his own body anymore.

my theory is that yes he did merged with sora, but when the fight took place, roxas remembered that place. and remembered why he was the keyblader. so he guarded donald n goofy while in soras heart the 2 fought. when he says... oh i see, thats why.
then he tried to finish sora off but his attack backfired. he forgot as the wilder can control the keyblade, sora got his n ***slash!!!***
again thats my theory!

He defenitally merged at the end of the intro. The fight in TWTNW was inside Sora, similar to the CoM battles between Riku and Ansem (expect the last). That part was just Roxas being comfortable with that merge. Perhaps there and the other scene with him mark his beginning to fade back into part of Sora.

Well,despite the fact that Roxas merged with Sora in the end of the intro,he didnt fully accepted his fate and wanted to know if Sora was worthy to be the one who "lead" and for that reason he tested him...to find out.Thats what i think...and with this explanation Final Form makes sence.........cause Sora is able to Drive into Final Form after he fought Roxas and Roxas accepted his defeat so they are 100% whole again...... =)

yeah it was when they get to the top of that tower like place and kairi meets namine. right before the boss fights with only riku.

See.... When Roxas was put into sora's head in the begining of the game he was just data.... the reason he was put there was to confront sora so that theyed see that theyed have to merge to become one.... Sora wanted to be complete and Roxas wanted a heart... the only way besides the evil way was for them to combine.... and they didn t combine during the battle they combine after the 1st battle with xemnas where roxas says "look sharp" Roxas just had the realization that he had to combine with sora after they fought.He saw that the darkness could not overcome the light so hed have to do it the light way.

They merged at the end of the intro. IMO the fight in twtnw was representing Sora/Roxas's inner-conflict or something??! I don't know...
