Well, crap. A week past and hardly any of Chapter 3 is done. Feh. Thus far, I suppose.

Chapter 3 – Radiants
They didn’t have enough time.
Selinae, a seemingly quaint village, had no real plans for attack. Since King Nathaniel had declared war against the mages, they had been forced to create some form of system in case of attack. But an occasion had never arisen when it was necessary, so no one really knew how to handle the situation.
It wasn’t handled well.
The village had been evacuated. The women and children were being moved east, moving as fast as they could to a more capitalized city. Little possessions were taken; they had to move quickly and efficiently. The village was a ghost town, the deserted homes and streets completely silent.
The scouts came.
