It's not a theory and it's just not.... I dunno, correct. Na-meen would have been fine had it not been for the accent at the last 'e.'

well Nah-Mee-Nay is the correct japanese pronounciation, so i think it's fine.

Not quite... you can hear the difference when Brittany Snow says it and when the characters in KHII in the Japanese version say it. Snow puts a heavy stress on the last syllable, so it sounds a little European, perhaps French.

americans pronounce it nah-min-AY

strong accents on the last syllable
so it's slightly different

thats what i thought it was when i first looked at her name (na-meen) then i also noticed the mark thing so then i started saying it as Nah-Me-Nay
