Honestly though, as much as I'm all for boycotting the game if you don't want it (I myself will still get it), I think that this controversy has also opened up my eyes to just how bad some parts of the community actually are. People have been attacking Serebii outright for NOT posting leaks, and there's apparently even a petition to try to get President Trump to not allow the sales of Sword and Shield in the U.S.A.
I think that is absurd. The only power you have as a consumer is the choice not to buy it or to protest to get it to be better/make the future installments better. No person has the right to prevent others from being able to enjoy it. Just don't buy it if you don't want it, and let the ones who do enjoy it. Are people scared that the games will still sell well and their voices won't be heard, so they have to try to make it so it's WRONG to play it?
