My laptop heats up too quickly and therefore shuts down automatically when this happens. I'm trying to convert video files to MPG so I can burn them onto my DVD+RW. But after the converting process has been going on for 3-6 minutes, the laptop overheats and shuts down. The only time I've gotten this to work is using a different CD and program which only worked when burning onto a VCD(I found one around the house) at 20 KB per second. But I need a program that can convert these movie files(.mov files) into MPG at the rate mentioned above so my laptop doesn't overheat.
Anyone know of a program that can help me out?
EDIT: Ok, I found a way to fix my problem, but I need a program that can simply convert videos to MPG at any rate. Thanks.
