My video won't come up on youtube

When I tried putting my video up on youtube a note came up saying it was the wrong file type. The file type, I believe, was MSWMM, how do I turn it into a file youtube will accept? I put this on the help and support like the dummy I am, so I'll just let that one die.

What is an .MSWMM file?

A .MSWMM file is a Windows Movie Maker project file. By saving the project, it allows you to return to the movie and make modifications at a later time. However, if you're satisfied with the movie and would like to upload and share the result through YouTube, you will need to choose "Save Movie File" under the "File" menu (which is different from "Save Project", which creates the .MSWMM file).

Open it with Windows Movie Maker, and to the left under "3. Finish Movie" there will be an option "save to my computer". Follow the directions and this will convert it into a normal video file that Youtube will accept. You might have to compress the quality so that it will fit into their file size limit.
