i'm having trouble connecting with people over a wifi connection. does anyone else know how to do it.

...Well, what are you using? Are you using the PS3's Ad-Hoc Party feature or are you just using the PSP itself?

You can't play online with just the PSP you have to be near other people playing their PSP's. If you want to play online you have to use Ad-hoc party. There's a topic about it in the Spoiler section.

Oh yeah, and make sure the WLAN switch is turned on.

Is there something I can buy to do that through my computer. I'm in college and my little brother got custody of the ps3 . And sorry for not posting for so long. I couldn't load the site for some reason.

Nope, so far as it's been established, the only way online has been through PS3 Ad-hoc.
