Malificent and Pete. Did they hinder the storyline a little bit?

Don't get me wrong, I loved KH2's storyline, but at the same time I think it could've been better if it weren't for Malificent and Pete. In my opinion, I think both Malificent and Pete hindered some of the main storyline because they were constantly taking up all the screen time from the new main villians. They could've easily used Demyx as the funny villian going around causing havoc instead of Pete and all the scenes Malificent had could've been replaced with Xemnas, Saix, or Luxord. So even though I liked KH2's storyline, I think it would've been better if Pete and Malificent weren't in the game because in the end they really didn't do too much. Who else agrees that Malificent and Pete shouldn't have been in the game and the Org. members should've been causing all the ruckus?

I just plain didn't like how Mallificent didn't really DO anything in the game, she was unnessicary. I was looking foward to fighting her again.

Actually, I think that without Maleficent and Pete, a lot of the Disney worlds would've just felt completely out of place. Worlds like Disney Castle, Timeless River, the tower part of Twilight Town, Halloween Town, Agrabah, and some more like that, would've just not worked out as well.

In each world, they really need something from outside the world causing some trouble, and if it was always Organization XIII causing all the trouble, then it would've gotten very repetitive and boring.

Pete and maleficent were good in the game. They were the last two who mainly controlled the heartless. Without them we'd have no heartless in all KH2.

Yeah...despite Demyx being an alternate comedic relief, and my favorite of teh XIII, I think that Pete and Malificent provided that as well as a minor aura of menace. Were it not for them, the continously dark story would have broken quite quickly, and if the other, lighter characters had to bear that burden alone, everything would be too melencholy after their deaths. So...well, yeah, while they weren't quintessential, both definatly added something good to the tale.

and Mal. and Pete kinda just helped that

It seems like Nomura got lazy honestly, there was so little play time comparatively, i mean every other room you went into there was a cut scene, omg..

She was helping them because the Organization was a greater enemy so they had to take care of it first. And to the second part, I highly doubt they youknowwhat.
