Chapter 1.1:
I stood as quietly as I could.
Why had I been led to this place by that cloaked figure? Better yet, why had I taken his advice and entered this cave?
Before I could ponder this any further, the darkness was lit by a bright flash of light.
I dove for cover behind a nearby rock.
The light did not flash again, so I cautiously peered over the top of the rock.
I was met with another surprise.
Int he center of the room stood the form of a man... He seemed to be glowing.
He also seemed to be just as suprised as I was to be in this cave.
His back was to me when he whispered softly, "Where am I?"
"Where I need you to be," answered a second voice, making me jump.
I looked around but could only see the first man.
"I summoned you here to do something for me," said the second man.
The man had the most evil sounding voice I had ever heard.
"NO ONE SUMMONS SEPHIROTH!!!" roared the first man.
I made a mental note of that name.
"No mere mortal summons you, perhaps," answered the second man."But, I do as I wish..."
"Show your face!" Sephiroth demanded.
"As you wish," was the reply.
A dim light filled the cave.
I checked to make sure I was still hidden, then turned my attention to the newly visible man.
He had very tanned skin, quite a comparison to the pale skin of that Sephiroth fellow.
The man had burning orange eyes!
"Who are you?" demanded Sephiroth.
"I am your Lord," said the other man.
"Sephiroth is his own lord!"
The other man merely smiled at this comment, and raised his left hand.
He then made a grabbing motion with it.
Simultaneously, Sephiroth began screaming in pain!
He staggered back and forth,gasping.
Then, the other man lowered his hand.
Sephiroth immediately quieted.
"Now you see who has the advantage..." said the other man.
I then realized that it was he who had caused Sephiroth's pain.
Sephiroth did not speak for a moment.
Then, in a blink of an eye, he drew an extremely long sword from his belt, and swung it threw the air faster than lightning.
I had to stifle a gasp as I saw the result...
The second man was completely unharmed!
That giant sword had passed threw him as if he were made of smoke!
Sephiroth looked more shocked than me, if that were possible.
"Do you need more proof?" asked the second man."So be it."
With a wave of his hand, that long, deadly sword began moving of it's own accord.
It now had it's point pressed to Sephiroth's throat! It was hovering in midair!
"One false move, and you die by your own sword," said the other man.
He paused, then said,"Repeat after me... Your will is my will..."
After nearly a minute, Sephiroth repeated the sentence.
"My life is your's my Lord..."
Sephiroth seemed to weigh death over this sentence, but he finally choked out the words.
"Finally... I bow to you Lord Ansem..."
I made another mental note... Ansem!
Ansem pulled the sword back, so Sephiroth could bow.
"I..." Sephiroth started."I will die first,you filthy-"
He stopped before he had finished.
Ansem had raised his hand again.
Sephiroth fell limply to the floor, his eyes bulging.
"I have just splintered you spine," Ansem said casually, leaning over his victim.
"I did not kill you...I have made you a vegetable. Now...Do you wish to stay this way, or do as you are told?"
It was an extreme effort for Sephiroth to say,"All...Right..."
"Good boy," said Ansem, waving his hand and healing Sephiroth.
Sephiroth then bowed and said,"I bow to you Lord Ansem."
"Excellent," said Ansem."I knew you would see things my way..."
