LittleBigPlanet - Can't connect

So I've been playing LittleBigPlanet this week, I already beat it but every time I try to play online, it says
''You need to upgrade your version of LittleBigPlanet. Please upgrade from your system patching facility''

Then connect your PSP to the internet when you start your PSP up and upgrade the firmware/patch for LBP.

Happened with my brother too. There are no updates when he turns it on and it already says his PSP has already been updated with the newest firmware.
