I dont think a keyblade has a heart, I think its more like a tuning fork of the heart and soul. It is attracted to the one whom has the strongest resonance, which may explain why it can go to evil people too. It has no eyes and so it it blind. The reason i think it rejected riku, it becuase his vibrations were not in sync with one another, it was also corrupted and tainted by Ansems own vibrations as well.
