For some reason, a crazy old guy was training three teens to become fighting masters, with the ulterior motive of using one of them to create a super weapon that would open up a magical place that would allow said crazy old guy to do whatever the **** he wanted, as power-hungry people often want. This all went to shit one of his colleagues found out about it and snitched to the teens, which caused them to turn on the crazy old guy, causing to fall into a realm of darkness, lose his memories, and essentially become another, younger person that gets taken in as an apprentice by a genius, defacto ruler of some world, who happens to be studying the darkness of people’s hearts. One of the teens loses their heart, which becomes attached to some random, young ass kid; one of the other teens just becomes lost to darkness in general, and I guess the other one just plain ole dies? Idk. But, Crazy old guy (now crazy young guy) starts to become obsessed with this research, warping the other apprentices as well in his wake, and together, they open up a portal to darkness, become swallowed in it, etc.

After losing their bodies/minds/hearts/whatever the ****, the six become Nobodies, but conveniently enough, the Crazy young guy has a strong enough heart to become a Nobody and a Heartless, the latter of which dubs himself after the name of his master, and goes around recruiting a various assortment of evil beings, ordering them to collect seven divine women, so that he can try and open the magical place he once failed to. He gets thwarted by the young ass kid whose heart got invaded one of the teens he was training as a crazy old guy, who, at some point in time, briefly lost his heart to darkness.

Apparently, when this happens, another you starts to get created from the darkness. Since the loss was only brief, only half-another-person was created. This half-another-person is born and subsequently recruited into the group of apprentices who lost their hearts/bodies/whatever the **** when they stepped into darkness. This group has plans to become complete beings by accumulating a bunch of heart power and opening the same magical place that the crazy old guy has now tried to open twice, and since the leader of this group is a version of that crazy old guy, he’s now on his third go.

During his tenure in this group, this half-another-version of the young ass kid who thwarted the crazy old guy’s 2nd attempt goes around collecting the hearts and whatnot, makes two friends, one of which is a ****ed up version of himself, gets mad at the group’s plans or some shit, turns on them, etc. Now while all this is happening, the young ass kid who started all that by briefly losing his heart is gets suckered into a plan by one of the members of this same group half-another-version is a part of, a plan that leads him to losing his memories and needing to placed inside of a restoration pod, which itself was planned by the master of the crazy young guy, who came out of nowhere after disappearing. In order to make sure the restoration process completes, the master of the crazy young guy orders a friend of the young ass kid to beat down his half-another-version. The friend does so.

Now, with the young ass kid awake and with his memories back, he fights the group his half-another-version was a part of, thwarts them. Sometime after this, one of his friends, who’s been keeping tabs on what happens on his journey, finds a line he didn’t write, investigates it, finds out that it was written to let the young ass kid know that there are other people connected to his heart, and needs to do something about that. In addition to this, another of his homies finds out through his master that the real crazy old guy is about to return, and the young ass kid and his friend who helped him get his memory back by kicking the ass of his half-another-version need to go through the proper training.

Thus, is the story of Kingdom Hearts. Generally speaking, have I got this right?
