I've had specutlations of the game and i'm not sure anyone noticed it before... but The worlds of kingdom hearts are very similar to the kabbalah tree of life, or the system sephiroth. http://www.byzant.com/kabbalah/treeoflife.asp
I'm not sure which world translates to which Sephira... but i do know that kingdom hearts fits "Malkuth" and that Monstro would be Daath, because the fact that he doesn't have a key hole and that daath isn't really a Sephira but it is still part of the path.
Also, The fact that each sephira Is seperated into 4 worlds also support this theory. how ansem said there is a world of light, darkness, present, and Inbetween, There are 4 worlds to the serphiroth http://www.byzant.com/kabbalah/worlds.asp

this makes complete sense when applying to kingdom hearts. And Square enix loves to apply this to their games.
